YOu missed the 9s in the center block, that would have let you put a 9 in the upper right block of the right center, on your first pass through, so that makes it take longer since you missed that placement of the 9s in those blocks.

I still don't understand this. At 3:28m you say 'Looks for a number that only appears twice in a line..." but then you use 2 separate examples in which the number appears either 3 times (the '2's example) or 4 times (the '4's example) in the lines. Could someone clarify please?

I love the center notation when I learned of it, really helps a lot. When using an app/site, like when trying a cracking the cryptic puzzle, I always remove corner notation as soon as I get a pair with center notation. When solving going through numbers 1 to 9 to find stuff, I do stop and look at crowded rows, columns and blocks. When there are only two or three options left these often are much more helpful then just looking at all fives for instance. When nothing comes from them I continue scanning for other things. If there is eg a five-nine pair I also look for this combination whenever I'm checking either fives or nines. I'm trying to learn y-wing and hidden triplet technigues but I still find them hard to spot. You have any tips on those?

I've been able to solve very hard sudoku puzzles for several months now using a variety of techniques. But I find myself having to guess very hard ones using patterns I've noticed over this time. These are not as satisfying since I am guessing. But your videos have been really helpful to reasoning out some of these patterns. Thank you!
