The FC had no right to demand an explanation and apology from Diego like that. She was in the wrong but never apologized for HER lack of communication. The book was very sweet until the kitchen scene and everything went downhill from there. The ending didn't show character development that would resolve the story, and the fc ends up seeming stuck up and rude. The conclusion of the storyline was poorly written and I just feel bad for DIego.

This book is so bad. The FC is so childish. Even a YA is not this bad and she is a hypocritical and egotistical. Giving your friend room away with asking. She does not evolve. What really made me mad is the comment that all women are as negative as her and her sister. She is Always the victum. Her sister stole a man she doesnt have the courage to tell that she has feeling for him. He is a person not a toy. And then her fake boyfriend. Why does he like her? She doesnt display one positive character trait the whole book. Its hard to enjoy a book when you dislike Everything about the main character. You suppose the cheer for her.

I’ve read anti hero stories with a more likable main character. IMO this heroine is utterly un relatable. Her sibling rivalry is (obviously) used as a plot device, however it’s barely supported. Even her mom and best friend are confused as to why she’s so mad. She turned her little sister into a villain out of thin air.Ok so her sister flirted with Paul because it was blatantly obvious the mc was in love with him but yet mom god and everyone else was oblivious?! Also the author wraps it up to fast. Simply insists that Paul And Emily are in love, however we have zero evidence to suggest that. The only facts we’ve received in the story insist they hate each other. Also there is very little about Diego that is thrilling besides that he’s tall and handsome. The author gave zero effort at bonding them emotionally with the reader. And then at the end the MC is confused why everyone is bewildered and upset?! Bitch you offered 5k to a mall Santa to date you out of pure revenge of envy like get a grip 😂. I completely understand that a story needs conflict at every turn but this particular tale had me reeling. The character arc was not arcing. She learned nothing. All sge did was gaslight everyone snd herself into believing her jealousy was justified and ger FUVE THIUSAND dollar petty actin was necessary because… in the end she realized Paul was boring and her sister who Talked shit on him the whole time was genuinely in love with him and deserved the boring guy that got zero screen time??? Like where is a single personality in this whole story?
