I have 5 K-Line S-2 switchers and I love them all!!! I also have 7 Lionel MPC NW-2 switchers, 1 LTI NW-2 switcher, and 1 LionChief NW-2 diesel switcher as well. Also along with all of those engines I also have 4 Williams NW-2 switchers. All of these engines have colorful paint schemes and pull super well!!! I am very fond of all of them!! Thank you very much for sharing this!!!

I wish Lionel would still release some of these, maybe one or two per year. Especially the banks! If they did, here are some of the railroads (or companies) I'd want represented: ▪︎ Missouri Pacific Lines (or Mo-Pac) ▪︎ Chicago & Eastern Illinois ▪︎ Yazoo & Mississippi Valley ▪︎ Hazzard County Bank (ok, this would never happen) ▪︎ Arkansas Midland RR ▪︎ Canadien National (French spelling) ▪︎ Cheerios ▪︎ Pepto-Bismol (perfect for any New Year's 🎉 trains!) ▪︎ [Any] County Credit Union (obviously a bank car)

I used to have an MPC Erie Lackawanna with my starter set. It had maroon print on gray, and the road number EL 9043. It was my only boxcar until my folks found a shop with a red Southern Railway 6-9700, first of the MPC 9700 series boxcars. EL 9043 had a stamp on the end, saying it was part of the "9040 Series".

Hard to find late-production postwar. I remember seeing those 227, 228 Alcos for sale when new, should have bought them.

I haven't seen that MPC set in a long time. Lionel made some nice stuff in the 70's and 80's. I'll have to look for one of those Alcos.

Nice look at Prewar Marx Army trains. The OD truck with paper canopy is a very tuff piece. Roll out the Military because we are probably going to need it. The Thor on the upper track is a nice touch, thanks for showing it with the vintage trains. USA all the way!

Great video Chuck. I bought my Liberty Special set about a year ago still factory sealed. Just ran it for the first time this week. Thanks for sharing I had no idea that was how the reverse unit worked 😎
@mdeange32 ай бұрын
I like the trains and thank you for the presentation. Can you add a reverse unit to the engine and can you adjust the volume of the sound? Is it possible to eliminate the 9V. battery and pick up power from the track? Because it seems to be a bother to remove the battery if necessary.
