i dont like how the marine's boots change color and style after infection. From black to light tan color instantaneously LOL. @0:54. Couldn't the devs do a better job of keeping consistency?

I find it weird that they added such and amazing feature for the Flood but they had the least screentime out of the original 3. Makes you wonder what the point was.

Personally, I love the Stalker to Tank Form transformation. So, basically, what happens is: Starting from the rear, the Stalker Form's abdomen and stumpy little appendage on it's side transform in to the Tank Form's big (right) leg and small left leg, respectively. Then, the torso stretches (hence why a Tank Form's mid section looks so sinewy). Working our way up, the Stalker Form's legs (which I assume a lot of people mistake for it's arms) transform into the Tank Form's arms. The left leg folds it's toes upwards, mutating into the small left arm, and the right leg points it's toes downwards mutating into the Tank Form's big, tree trunk-like, right arm. Finally, the pincers on the Stalker Form atrophy and become the Tank Form's funny looking, droopy little ears (for lack of a better term, of course). Head and tentacles remain unchanged. I think that the work Bungie put behind these animations is beautiful. Just wanted to say that, have a nice day!

not sure if there’s anything to contradict this, but surely it is the flood snapping the infected human’s neck, not the human themselves? Surely the infection form does it to stop the human mind from fighting back against the infection, as Keyes did in the Halo CE?
@Jayy997Ай бұрын
Animations in Halo 2 and 3 were so bad. I wonder if it was because Nathan Wapole was lead animator for those 2 games? Halo 1 had such amazing animations and it wasn't until Reach that animation was high quality again because of motion capture.

The Halo show is all like “oh these normal humans who are twitchy, that’s just the first phase of the infection!” The first phase of the infection:

I don’t know if this is lore accurate, but based on the screams it seems like even if you are dead, the flood just bring you back to life and possess your body. I find that fate far scarier than a normal infection, it’s like the flood won’t let you die

I didn’t know that the flood pure forms can actually change variants on the fly. I thought the stalker and ranged one were the exact same because I often saw the stalker forms climb up a wall and transform into a ranged variant. I always just interpreted that as just them “posting up” so they can shoot at me.

I think the Brutes have it worse because you can actually hear their death rattle and screams of utter torment. I believe they are still alive for a short amount of time before succumbing

Agreed, Humans and Elites break their necks whilst Brutes have their jaws split, I think the latter is worse. Though having to endure the indescribable pain of either would be terrifying.

Hold the fuckle up! That dead marine was brought back to life with the flood he screamed in pain he was resurrected.
@mitchellbrothers69024 ай бұрын
To me the fact that you can see the host’s twisted and dislocated head hanging off of the side of combat forms is the most terrifying thing. That and the jaw of the Jiralhanae being split in half. It really puts into perspective that these things are literally mutilating the bodies of whomever they infect. Truly terrifying.
@sakkra934 ай бұрын
The host can feel it all as well, the host has to endure the pain of a broken neck besides the other agonies of the transformation, such as the broken wrist and torn veins caused by the Flood whip. Being infected by the Flood is truly the *worst* fate of all in the Halo universe!
