I did this three times today in the span of about 30-40 minutes. I thought I remembered it being an achievment on XBOX 360 but I didn't get anything on MCC on PC. I probably had another three or 4 times where I would just melee them and survive the fall and another where I landed perfectly on top of the elites head and my character just stayed there as he ran around.

Probably because the game got updated on wednesday. This challenge is irrelevant now. You'll have to wait for the Mister Chief helmet to be available in The Exchange.

Doesn’t always get the achievement your player probably would’ve survived the fall of that the case try using your grenades to put your self at low Heath for a higher chance to get it if you have less Heath you can die to more smaller falls making the achievement easyer you only have like a few hours at this point
