Can any acoustic guitar sound like a Delta Blues guitar or does it have to be certain models?
@darrenwatsonmusicАй бұрын
Hi there. Any decent steel string guitar that holds it's tuning and has all six strings will get the job done. Don't worry about spending a fortune on something exotic.

Awesomely put together Darren........Very tasteful and cohesive.............Really enjoying playing it

Finally after 8 month it is become to music under my fingers. Everything rhymes wonderfully now. And I had no skills in fingerstyle. But this tune inspired me so much that i stuck with it. I`ve even already made my first own Delta Blues. Thanks a lot.

Is that a werewolf playing harp that's a connection to naenae the werewolves rugby league team

It is indeed a local werewolf playing harmonica. I couldn't possibly comment on any links to any person or organisation alive or passed on.

This is so awesome you have me waiting for Part 2... Ten years later, I can't help asking: Did you ever post Pt. 2 anywhere?
@darrenwatsonmusic2 ай бұрын
Sorry @JoseAntonioCabo I suck at this stuff. I've never really taken the KZbin stuff as seriously as some who have made it a way of life. Maybe I will now I'm getting older?

Darren, thank you, man. It's real fun playing your blues. Practising doesn't feel like hard work at all (though it is at some parts) because I enjoy this so much. You're awesome!

A very accurate description of the pub and the time frame! Probably drunkenly bumped into each other at some point. Good times!

Cracking tune, man. Some of the classiest blues comping this side of Buddy Guy, and that gob iron sounds the bees knees. Class. Never drank in that pub, but I had a seriously big night at Whanganui Musician's Club once. That lady was everywhere...

Fantastic! You sound just like the record. This one's easy to figure out by ear. Now it's just ripping it out on the spot at the right times during blues jams..
@IamClapham3 ай бұрын
Spot on, Darren. Like you I didn't think much of Wichita Lineman when I was young, but now recognise it as a masterpiece. I also agree that despite his popularity Paul McCartney's gift for songwriting is under-appreciated.

“Run out of myself” totally how myself and others that are self taught feel about songwriting.

Macca is entirely self-taught but obviously we're excluding actual genius 👏
