As a professional writer I applaud your choice of binding and the way you’ve incorporated QR codes. You have always been so generous with your content and I wish you every success with your book. This is a great book for anyone who wants to do quilt-as-you-go. Beautiful pictures and well written instructions. Compared to the cost of sending it to a longarmer, my first QAYG quilt, the book paid for itself.

I love an actual big book for everlasting reference. This looks delicious. Congratulations! I did the Block a Day with Pat Sloan at the onset of the V!*^s (I believe March or April of 2020) . Due to just transitioning from garment sewing to quilting, I do not want to tackle free motion quilting a full quilt on my domestic machine. So, I put the blocks aside to study various instructions for QAYG. I find I keep coming back to Pattern Poole TV because of it illustrating more than one technique. I am thrilled to learn that all Monica’s expertise is now available in one “companion” and I look forward to getting my hard copy soon.

Will it be sold through Amazon as well? I’d like a hard copy but shipping to Mexico would be very expensive buying it directly from your site.
@PatternPooleTV4 күн бұрын
Yes, that is fair enough. We aren;t sure yet about Amazon as they don't offer the binding style we want. However, a PDF version is available on our website.

Another tip for leading fabrics: pair up your scraps to sew a scrap quilt without trying by using them as your leaders and enders. If you stop your needle before getting to the end of the piece it wont eat your fabric (generally speaking, some fabrics do not agree with my machine and have been eaten but not often).

Can I do the appliqué stitch when the batting has been sandwich in between instead of doing on the first layer first and then stick around when the sandwich has been done as to the quilting .
@PatternPooleTV13 күн бұрын
Yes you can do this but the applique stitch that you choose such as a blanket stitch or zig zag will be visible on the back of the quilt. Some people like the look of this, it's a personal choice. You can also use a busy backing fabric to disguise the stitching on the back of the quilt.
