This is the first time I have ever come across one of your videos. It was on my home page and I guess since I'm an artist the algorithm saw fit to put one of your vids in my recommended. I don't know why you were gone so long, but I am glad you're back! Your attention to detail is phenomenal, your style is phenomenal, and your finished piece is phenomenal. I'm not even into BJDs, per se, but I the aesthetic is beautiful and whenever I do come across them I love the way they look. I can't wait to see what else you do.

Thanks for this video! I am trying to learn how to start and this is very helpful. How do you measure the necessary amount of flow-aid that you add to the water? what are the measurements you use? What is the size of the little dropper bottle that you use? I would love some more tips on that.

I wish I had the patience to work on something with that detail. I am still teaching myself how to do portraits on my iPad from pictures. I often “finish” before they are perfect. Even when using multiple layers, I’m afraid that doing too much to a portrait would end up ruining it. I would love to do more sculpting, but I have no real experience with the proper tiny tools, or with the teensy precision brushes. I feel like I’m such a poor example of an artist. I went to three semesters of art school, but was unable to finish. Even if I remembered all that I learned about how to use programs like PhotoShop, it would probably be useless with the latest versions of the programs. I can’t even use the MacBook I had then, because the memory is full of someone else’s pictures and the battery will not hold a charge at all. The cord no longer works. It is very frustrating. I can’t even retrieve the projects I have stored on it. It feels like all my debt is for nothing. I can’t pay anything toward it because I can’t work.

As if watching the doll art process wasn't enough, the 'interludes' - showing your art 'paraphernalia' rolling around, the glass with brushes...it was all so 'satisfying' and calming. This is a tonic for today's crashing world. I could watch this while the world is tumbling into oblivion. Thank you.
