I started customising a while ago- I just finished my 4th doll- you can improve your skills really quickly. Or just keep practicing on one doll as a base! Hairspray works well as a first coat as instead of msc. Just don’t use it on top of your work or it’ll come off! Hope this helped 😊

This is off topic, but what is the name of that film/foil stuff in your mermaid/wisp videos? I want to try making something iridescent. The hair looks gorgeous, by the way.

it could be unicorn skin, iridescent flakes or leaf foil

how did you make the stand? the one that's holding the head up. I saw there was a metal stick and a base
@MariaLazarsArt2 жыл бұрын
Oh I didn't make that stand, it is actually a doll stand with a metal ring that I just pulled out. The head is actually sitting on a sculpting tool. 🤭

Is that silicone glue?
@MariaLazarsArt Жыл бұрын
If you mean the clear that is an all purpose permanent transparent glue. It does look a bit like silicone. For an example UHU are decent. Depending what is available to you I find it easier searching "all purpose clear/transparent glue". I find it so difficult getting a specific brand and there are so many other, hence the reason I prefer giving the description of the materials. ☺✌
@VladVirn Жыл бұрын
Very useful lesson, thank you! But why is yours wefts have so narrow "belts"? I bought several brands of wefts, and they all have pretty thick "belt" (piece of cloth to which hairs are attached). So after gluing on small head it looks not so pretty as yours.
@MariaLazarsArt Жыл бұрын
Oh yes, I couldn't agree more! I had the exact same problem, that is why I just started making them myself. Here is the video from the same series kzbin.info/www/bejne/sHfEdYWHfN91d6M
