That open top Husky you showed as second, I have one and it’s incredibly heavy to be an open top tool holder.

Good survey of tools for a new home owner. I would also recommend one of the 6-in-1 screwdrivers as it's a lot easier to find the slotted or Phillips head you need if it's already on the tool, plus it has 2 common nut driver sizes. Also, add an outlet tester so you can see why something isn't coming on, if the outlet is bad or if they need to check if the breaker may have tripped. The tester also shows whether the outlet is wired incorrectly or is missing a ground, which is a safety issue.

hi- i built a brick pizza oven but the BASE is not heating up! what could the reason?
@ArtisanMade
@ArtisanMade 3 күн бұрын
You should allow your oven to heat up 2-3 hours. The walls of the dome should reach 800-900 degrees Fahrenheit. The floor should be hot enough then.

I saw a pair of men's platform shoes on Temu for $45. It's a lot cheaper than building a ramp or pouring concrete to raise the floor. J/K. Love your videos. Excellent job on the pizza oven despite the height. I just clicked and subscribed.

3D printing is amazing. I get some people might be hesitant cause they prefer to keep woodworking as a simple and relaxing hobby. Depsite it’s also a great way to boost creativity, solve problems, and even save money sometimes. Like you said, even without CAD skills, platforms like Printables or Thingiverse offer tons of free, ready-to-print files. It’s one of the few places where people genuinely help each other by sharing ideas and solutions for free. It may sound exaggerated but I can’t imagine life without a 3D printer now. If anyone is thinking about getting one, here’s my advice: choose a brand with good slicer software and hardware integration, even if it costs a bit more (if you can afford it). Ther are so many printers out there but only a few will have a good "out of the box" experience. You will get into it much quicker and have good results, especially if you want to use it as a tool and not as a hobby itself.

Good video, but I'm not sure that flashing tape was applied correctly. It should span the exterior of the window trim to the exterior wood. As you used it, there is still a gap between window and tape (and that was before the cut) only filled with foam.

Just want to thank you for your video. I followed it to install my helical cutter head and it was spot on. Was very easy to follow, thank you. I found using the 24mm socket and ratchet useful in spinning the pulley wheel to get the belt back on, as I used a new belt and it was tight. But thanks for everything you covered,.

Interesting but, still need to consider; the learning curve, faulty prints, tolerances, cost of machine and supplies. Also, time is money. The smallest simple print could take 3-4 hours. Perhaps good for some small specialty things but maybe easier to have free delivery from Amazon tomorrow ???

Technology has really improved over the last few years. Now, most machines do everything for you. Most of the time I just push the button and walk away. It has saved me a ton of money being able to print things that I use in my shop rather than buying them. I did a few videos more recently that focus on dust collection and tools that really do improve your workflow in the shop. Check them out I’m telling you it opens a new world of possibilities. Also, the price of these printers have really come down and the quality is very impressive.

Very nice boxes with insight on the Stackability of these. Wish there was someone in SoCal that make something to this skill level. I do have one question if I were to make a simple one with just nails. What would be the preferred wood to use if you hand any choice.?
@ArtisanMade
@ArtisanMade 10 күн бұрын
In the old days, they used soft wood like pine. If you want to keep the cost down, you can go with yellow pine. Wood from trees that produce edible food like cherry, walnut, olive, etc. have the least amount of toxins and are best for contact with food. The downside of that is that these materials are a lot more expensive.

You need to earth/Ground the PVC pipe to drain static build-up and stop fires. Why Grounding PVC Pipes is Important: Static Electricity Buildup: When fluids or powders flow through PVC pipes, friction can generate static electricity. If the pipe is not conductive (like PVC), the charge cannot dissipate naturally. Risk of Ignition: A buildup of static electricity can discharge as a spark, which can ignite flammable materials in or around the pipe. Safety Regulations: In industries handling flammable materials, grounding PVC pipes is often a requirement to comply with safety standards (e.g., OSHA, NFPA). How to Ground PVC Pipes: Conductive Grounding Wire: A grounding wire or strap can be attached along the length of the PVC pipe and connected to a proper grounding point, such as a grounding rod or a grounded metal structure. Conductive Fittings: Use conductive fittings or couplings where necessary to ensure continuity in the grounding system. Grounding Clamps: Special clamps can be used to secure the grounding wire to the pipe. When is Grounding Necessary? Grounding PVC pipes is particularly important in: Industrial settings where flammable liquids, gases, or powders are transported. Dust collection systems where combustible dust is present. Environments with a high risk of static discharge, such as chemical plants or fuel handling facilities. When is Grounding Not Necessary? For non-flammable materials (e.g., water in residential plumbing), grounding PVC pipes is typically not required because there is no significant risk of static buildup or fire. Conclusion: If you're working with PVC pipes in an environment where static electricity could pose a fire or explosion hazard, grounding the pipes is a critical safety measure. Always consult relevant safety standards and guidelines for your specific application.
