I am glad to see that you left space between the side slats for air movement. So many other videos they don’t do this, and they are drastically cutting down the dry time for any wood that has not been aged yet. Great job, and you now have a new subscriber. 😁

Super helpful guide!! And I really love that you had plans available so it was easy to see what lengths go where. I’ve been trying to figure out how to convert an old pallet into a quick-and-dirty firewood shelter but wasn’t sure about how to get it together. Now I think I finally know how to get started!

This is great! After your last video I literally thought “that’s awesome… but how do I scale it down?” Great video!

You just inspired me to build something similar for covered storage out by my wood boiler. Thanks.

Great project that, as usual, contains some excellent tips on the construction.

Spin your screw in reverse a couple sec or until it smokes and then screw it in forward and it won't split the wood

Thanks for the tip. Definitely going to try that.

I think you should add another video showing how you would stain this for outdoor use. Let me know if you want me to pick the color for you.

Can you please explain pocket holes in one of your videos. I'm following this video to make a small fire wood storage :)

A big tip i would give is to tell us the length of your cuts and go through the installation of anything more complex like the roof frame and rafters, its very hard to tell what you are doing without knowing those things

He has plans for the shed on Etsy, but if you draw your own illustration of how you want it to look, then you'll be able to figure out the length you need. There are other KZbin videos showing how to build a roof on a firewood shed. Most of them look the same.

Hi … thank you for the video. Can I ask if the wood was pressure treated and type of wood quality?
@ArtisanMade Жыл бұрын
Yes it was pressure treated

Thanks for the video. A question: Why didn't you just use the structural screws from the beginning? Is there a reason to add the extra step?
@ArtisanMade Жыл бұрын
Easier to pull posts into alignment if necessary when assembling the roof.

Your plans for this are fantastic! What software did you use to design it?

Thank you. Sketchup.

My concern is building a small firewood storage shed for use around a firepit is the sharp edges of the corrugated roof. I think I may have found a solution on Amazon. It slides over the edge of the metal and hopefully prevents any cuts from someone bending over to get the wood.

How did you determine height variance between rear posts and front posts?
@ArtisanMade2 ай бұрын
Once you decide what pitch you want the roof to be, it’s all trigonometry after that.

Nice design. Would be nice if you just shared the material cut lengths in the video. Usually a viewer will then watch it 20 times when building as opposed to Etsy, which i dont use.
