I visited the Habitat apartment complex at Expo ‘67 when I was 13, and I’ve always remembered it for being intriguingly different and varied as compared to a regular rectangular building. I wished I could live in such a place when I grew up - which I never did.

From 1989 to 2015 I often visited the Tam when I lived in Hollywood, N. Hollywood, and Burbank. Had to say good-bye to L.A. because of the illegal aliens, dopers, homeless, gangbangers, gridlock, crowding, crime, graffiti, fruits-nuts-freaks-flakes-bums, high taxes, etc. Democrat commie nutjobs ruined that beautiful state starting in the early '70s.

How great is it this guy saved and restored the Formosa?! Haven't been there in ages, but am glad I got to go when I lived in LA, and other historic places that, sadly, are no more. But the Formosa lives!

I remember when Rock-and-roll first came to be the older generation felt threatened and always over reacted to progressive change. The police were more than willing to invoke their authority whenever the opportunity arose.

Across the basin sitting on a ridge of Palos Verdes are homes that have views of the coastline towards Malibu & to the right towards the Hollywood Hills, downtown LA, etc. It's like being in a helicopter. Being able to wake up everyday to that sight would be a major distraction. Same with the Stahl House. Cleaner air in today's LA makes such things better now than in the past. In turn, a lot of the flat lands in the LA basin (as seen from hillside homes) were carved out over 70 years ago & could use the same thing: Major cleaning or so-called beautifying.

I started working in Hollywood and 64 as an extra I was eight years old. I worked there 20 years it was the best time of my life. Some friends I made with Dan Blocker, Audie Murphy, Barbara Stanwyck. I was an extra for about one year at the end of that time. I was so sick and tired of waiting for the next scene that I told mom I wasn’t interested in that anymore. I ended up doing 94 extra parts in the time I was there though mom made a diary, so I remembered all of them. I had the best mom on the planet.

I wish Mel would have spoke in his true voice. Not a Bugs Bunny knock-off. And the scenes at 0:55 and 2:11 sexist and sick... *No* matter the time it was made! I like Bugs Bunny, etc, but I can't say Mel was easy to look at and the shtick was horrible.

I luv that place and was just there a few weeks ago. There was a renovation a few years ago - are those seat cibets the original or are rhey replacements? I bet the wood part of the seats is the same though, right?

These films remind me of momma. This was her era as a youngster. She was a Rosie Riveter during the last 9 months of the War in the San Fernando Valley. She met my dad when she was 13 and dad was 14. Loved him for 81 years until he left this world. This music was their's, the sunshine was their's , their occupations and their love for each other. I miss them both so very much....'

An amazing and talented singer (Al Martino). His Volare rendition is among the best of them all. Although the song, audio and the theme in this video are excellent the quality of the pictures are not as excellent perhaps due to the technology of that time. JK Esq.

This Case Study House #22 will never go out of style. His parents (Buck and Carlotta) worked thier butts off to build this place. Buck created a model of this site, and Koenig used that as the base of the design and provided the calculations to support the building. Masterpiece of Buck and Carlotta Stahl.
