thanks! it is because I don't have any scaling on my Cintiq Pro 24 and it's a 4K screen 😅.

Great process Raashid! And thank you very much for the videos! I think they have a lot of educational value! I do have a QQ: You traced the design/deco of the door in Photoshop, to make it clearer to you, but why did you trace it in Illustrator afterwards, since at the end you're tracing the design in Maya? Did you add those processes in the video, to demonstrate that brute force (not using Illustrator) would have worked in the first place? Again, thanx for the video and the walkthrough! Awesome work

That is a fair question haha 😅. I hope this makes sense: You see...I come form Cinema 4D, which can import Illustrator files and extrude from them with lots of remeshing options. I assumed Maya would be the same, so that's why I included the Illustrator step but the geometry was coming out pretty bad 😩. .....However! the illustrator file was still good to have because it wasn't exactly traced, it was recreated without the perspective of the concept image thus being circular and precise instead of wonky. Making the clean Illustrator version was still the right call 😉

How can i slide a frame to the right without filling frames on the original frame position?
@key.frame_6 күн бұрын
If you hold Alt when dragging the exposure, it'll create a Duplicate Special of it, don't change anything in the popup window and you should be fine; if all you need is to copy the original exposure without filling in frames. (you may have to delete the original frame after though)

Just found your channel and instantly subbed. Thank you so much for taking the time to post these and explain your process. Of course we would love more in depth tutorials if you get the chance. I really love the wood especially everything looks so crisp, if you have the time to make a video on the trim would definitely love that!
@key.frame_6 күн бұрын
hey thank you so much! I am glad you like the videos! There is 1 more video in this series I'd like to release to finish it off, then I will be working on some tutorials and yes, 1 of which are the wood trim Designer Material seen in this vid.

Great example of doing a block out and striking the right balance of adding enough detail without going too far, whilst making sure there's something to represent each final mesh.
