Wait. Are you blocking off your soffit vents? Is that what you just showed us?
@interstellar_ranger23 күн бұрын
Yes, I am blocking of a few of them. Not all of them. Thought about it. But someone mentioned their importance. I did some research, and I am leaving the corners open. But there is still plenty of vent for the roof between the air inside, the roof vent, and the ones that are left. This being a shed and no separation between the openings and the inside of the shed every two feet seemed a bit much. Hard to keep the temperature stabilized in here.
@markbrest469523 күн бұрын
@@interstellar_ranger You don't want to block them holes, you need them for ventilation. In addition, you will want a one-inch air space behind your insulation in every stud cavity that runs from your soffit to your ridge. Without proper ventilation you can develop moisture and mold.
@interstellar_ranger23 күн бұрын
Ok. How big do these vents need to be? I will do more research. Also, thank you.

@interstellar_ranger If you attach a 2×4 to the outside & one to the top it will give you that finished look & be alot more sturdy. That's generally how you construct the top rail/cap.

I’m a retired diesel mechanic and I’ve been using same old Murray riding mower for 26 years and I change oil after every 4 hours of mowing It still runs like new and looks great So it cost 6 bucks plus the no corn gas to mow my yard Not bad and I buy air filter 30 at a time also
@interstellar_ranger2 ай бұрын
Yea, I like to talk shit about mine. But it survived the fury of all those before me. Lack of maintenance destroyed the deck. Engine is maintained and runs smoothly. It will probably last for years now, if I protect it and maintain it. Easier to blame the machine. lol
@douggillock2 ай бұрын
If it was mine I would take the good parts off and get rid of that deck get another decent deck to put back on
@interstellar_ranger2 ай бұрын
Wasn't much for good parts. Bent or broken. I did have some steel and a mig so I made something. Will probably never be an issue again. If I paint the parts I cleaned. I still need to do that. I do appreciate the suggestions though...can never go wrong with more ideas.

On the broken ear for the blade. I pryed it back, welded to the steel....hopefully it stays. Aluminum, it no like steel. I think I fixed it. Fingers crossed. I get out of this with my welder setup, maybe 1...hope 2 seasons.

Personality I just don't know what the hell you're doing you should never been the pulley under the deck that is supposed to be that way it's supposed to be angled like that
@interstellar_ranger2 ай бұрын
That pulley is actually supposed to be straight. Also, the rust that ran down the deck allowed it to rip away from the metal under the load of the belt. And it is a problem that will continue to happen until I replace the deck or put a steel plate there. I appreciate your comments.

Thanks for stopping in. My speed sensor is on the rear end. The wires were shorted together. Thought it might fix it, but I believe the sensor may be done, because it still throwing a sensor code.
@user-sj4nx4mt8c3 ай бұрын
The throttle position sensor, TPS, is what gives the transmission the signal to shift gears.. The transmission in jeeps very rarely go bad.. Though a solenoid could be sticking, I would bet more than anything you just need a TPS.. I worked at a jeep dealer for many years.. the transmission will give a very long and hard shift from 1st gear and eventually into 2nd gear, then stay there.. I would advise putting a TPS in it.. It’s located on the side of the throttle body… Hope you see this 👍🇺🇸
@interstellar_ranger3 ай бұрын
I can give it a shot. The valve body is good, replaced it twice. The harness and connectors are good. The only thing left would be the sensor themselves. Now it does have a P0501 for the Speed Sensor circuit and a P0731 for 1st Gear incorrect ratio. But the symptoms you listed are consistent with the ones I have.
