I want to do this... ...but I'm worried about what happens when the delivery man comes on a rainy/snowy day... I don't want to be sued. BEAUTIFUL WORK.

Just out of interest, what size trowel would you use on 1200 x 1200 tiles ?

I tried this with 5mm ceramic wall tile. When I got to the tapping stage, the tile just cracked in two. I think the tile is too weak, so on the next go I cut a groove in the perimeter of the hole on both sides as well as the radial slits.

Great job guys. The time lapse was too fast. I would have liked to see how you mitered the tile for the corners among other things.

It would be nice if at least one of these videos showed victorian tiles being laid, not modern tiles with modern products being layed in a desighn used during the victorian era.

FAIL!! Inconsistent trowel patterns not perpendicular, excessive blobbing of mortar, and the two big rookie mistakes,NO back buttering! And no mallet or vibration to release air bubbles! I guess you get what you pay for…

The rapid set you troweled on how flat was it in the end ? Wasn’t wavy just by troweling?

Aquagrip adhesive on an external path/floor is a nono. Prolonged exposure to moisture and frost will blow adhesive fast.

@@alex1975uk for the scenario portrayed in this video, any cementitious adhesive would suffice. Aquagrip is an adhesive for internal use only.
