Great job. I like how you cut out the shower floor from the rest of the floor. I like that you skimmed the ditra with cement the first day.

Hi guys, I completely agree that the tanking should have been done. And I did say the same to the client, however, as he wanted to save money on this occasion I agreed as the job was done on a screed (no movement) and it was ground floor (nowhere to leak). We used a waterproof Durabase mat, waterproof adhesive, and epoxy grout.

raise the floor up a notch at the shower area. at least inch or inch and a half then ramp it up. simple.

Hi There. I have use the adhesive to smooth it up and level it up with the entrance

ditra mat is a decoupling membrane to be fixes on directly with tile and adhesive so why was it filled first and left to set overnight before tiling on surely this negates the purpouse of using it

Not much of a fall to drain

yeah he did prime but I'm not convinced about the lack of tanking.... I get that epoxy grout is waterproof but have seen issues with pin holes in the grout.... if the job was for me I'd want it tanked too...
