@@errantsorcerer I have modified several Mini RC aircraft. Full length ailerons make an amazing performance enhancement. I use a straight edge and sandpaper to cut "V" grove in the additional surface and then hot glue the new longer aileron to the original one. Folding the surface flat against the wing as you are finishing your sanding assures that you remove enough surface, just don't go too far. Be sure to leave enough tip on the outboard of the wing for strength. Attaching the aileron to the rudder is simple, after cutting out the rudder like the aileron, add a control horn to the rudder and then connect the aileron's horn to the new rudder horn with a control wire. I have found that a simple one to one ratio on the control horns works for most models. I use a flat nosed plyer with a notch cut in the middle of one of the "noses", to make the Z bends in my control wires. With flight controls in the "intermediate" setting, the flight stabilization works just as before the plane was modified, only you can now do aileron roles without using the stunt button, turn tighter and outperform any unmodified mini F-16. The P-51 is fast and to the point, the F4U Corsair is scale and still fast but requires power on the turns as it likes to stall and wobble if you are too slow ( could be like that with most planes tho too) but with these micros that is what I have noticed among these ones. Overall I am very happy with both of these planes!

@OurRCLife thanks for the response. I'm trying to figure out what one to buy. They have a bunch of them to choose from. I know that overall they are likely very similar but still would imagine some are better than others. I bought a trainer plane years ago. Spent quite a bit for it at the time from a hobby shop and bought all the hop up parts. Destroyed it in the first day. Kinda lost interest in planes and stuck with rc cars. Lol. Was thinking of trying my luck again.

There still are many of us who build them! Mostly the ones who buy them to plug in are just getting into the hobby - which can be good as building isn’t for everyone.

I will make a RC boat this year. I researched and came across a really nice patrol boat that I want to model. Also, I did buy an off the shelf speed boat that I have been using for fun and getting experience of RC boating.

@@AWBuilder Think I still have some nice plans up the loft, one I bought but never made was of an E-Boat, about 36" in length. Have to get around to it one of these days lol

On the mother board there is a spot where you can press bind, it’s very tiny it explains in the manual, plugging the battery in and out and trying the controller on it eventually binds, it’s VERY cheaply made, basically broke after first flight…. Don’t recommend this plane but was fun to fly! Wish I could be of better help!

Thanks for the quick reply. I just spent $200, I sure hope it doesn’t break on the first flight. I’ll look for the button. And I’ll try the plug and unplugging.

Is that the mother board on the plane or trans?

@@santaclawson1422 in the plane, after pressed it will start blinking faster means it’s “ready to bind” I hope it works well for you! Very good looking plane tho!

My Manual doesn’t say anything about where the bind button is. It just says to push it. I did notice a second usb cord in the pack. And I noticed a usb port on the mother board. Do you know anything about that?
