@souwestdigger2817 Okay. I'm surprised you mentioned the machine was so chattery on the beach. I have the single frequency Fisher F75 SE, and it's a beast in dry conditions, but terrible on the wet salt water beach. I'm keeping an eye out for the Nokta Legend or the Deus 2 for a good price. But for now, Canadian tire had a sale on the Minelab Vanquish 440 (the nox's little brother). I'm actually very impressed with how stable it is on the beach. It has good depth as well. My only complaint is the lack of good target separation speed, but that's not a huge concern on the beach.

@souwestdigger28177 ай бұрын
It’s difficult to explain, if you’re getting permission and not digging on historical places you’ll be fine . If you find something of historical significance it should be reported. But what they define as historical is the question. lol

@@souwestdigger2817 thank you so much for getting back to me, one last question are beaches and rivers fair game?? As long as they are not provincial parks?
@souwestdigger28177 ай бұрын
@@justintrimm3745 I see no problem as long as you’re not on anyone’s property without permission. Provincial beaches are questionable. If you ask a provincial park ranger about beach detecting, chances are they’ll have no problem. Even on beaches fill your holes and take all the trash with you . @@chriseisan5443 yeah that’s a tough one . Cheaper detectors don’t usually like beaches and shorelines because of the high mineralization of the saltwater . Try lowering your sensitivity , ground balance a lot and try a few test coins to see what they give for a signal. Put a object on the ground and raise your coil to see roughly how deep your detector will go , this will be a air test .
