The narrative of the Serpent persuading Eve & Adam to eat the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil seems to be about disobedience more. And as the Accuser, Satan advances parts of the truth. d. Whereas light and darkness can represent the whole truth, neither encompasses it entirely. Reflecting on Genesis 1:3, which says, “And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light…””, a breakdown of this text led me to understand that “light” refers to photons AND truth, and more. Also God’s message was carried forth by his messenger Lucifer. When one looks to God, we perceive light. But to look to Lucifer/Satan/the Devil/Serpent/Accuser, we perceive darkness. That could be due to Lucifer going in the direction of darkness, and hence that’s what we perceive. Therefore, it seems to me that Lucifer never stopped being God’s messenger, but is still carrying out the task (with maybe a third of all angels going along). There is no change, just a seamless progression. Perhaps we need to decouple the idea of evil from pain, suffering, wrongness, and hate, evolution from survival or success,. And consider that the contrast between light and darkness, and good from evil, is nuanced and relative, like a spectrum with no end. These dynamics are still real, though. The truth is a blend, not just opposing silos. If life is meaningless, per Ecclesiastes 1, it’s up to us to use faith in order to infuse it with meaning.

I chose to just get snipped at 22 so I can't have kids. Made my life a lot simpler. Never wanted kids.
