I despise chalk pastels (well, all pastels) for drawing. I feel like I’m always using them wrong, like they should be building up and blending better and not getting tons of little bits and dust all over the place. I think chalk pastels are great for “painting” with though, with a brush, kinda like makeup.

My Tom Sawyer hexagon crayons are copyright 1933 ; 91 years ago. They all look virtually unused. Two look more heat bent then used. It is hot in Florida.

These are so cute! The only thing that would make it even better is a little cow flying around the tornado! You still got it with your watercolor skills!

Red Sun is actually realistic, last weeks where I live the sun has been red everyday when it was coming up or down, because of the ashes of too many burnings in the whole country that were in the air, is has just rained a couple days ago and cleared the air so the sun stopped being red for now

I love the sketchbook spreads, it's fun to watch the process and see what you come up with. For some reason I really love the vibe of the snowy one. Maybe it was super obvious for you, but the method of layering the washi tape to create depth for the town/houses was a great idea!
