I know these as carpenter crayons. I use to borrow my grandfather's blue and red one to draw. Now they have all the colors. I could have a lot of fun with these. Thanks for bringing back a great memory for me and the inspiration. ♥

There is something about kasey playing with crayons that is very addictive. I love the undertone space thing. And yes, it would work really well with different kind of art supplies. With this try and layer the colors down thick. Then with a light hand lay down black till it covers it and the pick the colors back again and blend the whole thing. It gives a wonderful result. as for sharpening. I can guarantee you, i have never in my life sharpened crayons or oil pastels. When I color with them, i do so holding them on the side and rotate. Automatically sharpens them for me with zero wastage and zero mess. Also do that with my stick eraser

I LOVE peely pencils! The charcoal variety in particular are awesome. I keep a little sharpening block on hand to get a good point on them, and they’re perfect for figure studies!

Try Caran D’ache Neocolor II, they are the most adult/professional waxy/smooth/oily pastel/crayon around. They are so much fun to work with. They are technically water soluble but honestly people most often don’t even bother with that and just use them as they are. They are also super pigmented. You should try them!

i LOOOOVE my oil pastels, but only because they're water soluble!!! they're crayons and watercolour all in one, and that is what i am currently obsessed with 😍 im using a cheap set at the minute, but if you want the buttery-est water sol. oil pastels i recommend Caren d'ache. wax pastels however layer better than oil pastels, something to keep in mind. either way, im looking forward to you experimenting with different art supplies. currently in my collage era, and watercolour era 😤💘 much love!

Man, seeing this video pop up in my recommended was a bit of a blast to the past for me! I remember watching a lot of your videos back when I was in middle school, lmao. The art here turned out super cute - I've always loved your lifework and shape language! I'm honestly a bit surprised that you didn't combine the space cat and fish idea together - I kept on imagining the cat hopping around between asteroids, catching some fish as they swam through space itself.

Not sure if you're gonna read this, but I wanted to give you my thoughts on how to keep the points sharp. I like to use blue non-photo copy pencils for sketches & the lead is very soft, so I have to constantly sharpen the tip. What I found was that if I use a box cutter, not only do I get a very fine point, & I lose less pencil that I would if I use a pencil sharpener. Plus if you use a sharpening block I think they get gummed up & useless real quick. At least if a sharpening block is the thing with some sandpaper. I'm very basic with my art supply so all the names & terms can be lost on me. Love your channel, Homie! 😊

I love the idea of these but somehow I managed to absolutely WRECK a similar one (from another brand) because it would NOT peel along the perforation :(( (This was the same day I lost a fight to a pull-tab can of tuna and had to break it open with a can opener, the reason I had one of these easy-peel pencils out was because I had to write my dad a note for when he woke up to let him know why the can opener was dirty. It was not my best day overall lol)
