My similar Craftsman though newer has been extensively modified. I received it without a functioning motor but did have a rip fence and miter gauge. After fighting with them I junked them with the modern fence a miter gauge I’ll match it against any table saw for accuracy. The modifications include 2hp motor, Delta T3 fence, Incra v27 miter gauge, zero clearance inserts, … all in $500 to $600

I bought this unit this past week and laid in several fuses, as a result of watching this video. I am generally happy with the unit, although, the cases don't line up with the case mouth pilot very well between cartridges. This is much faster to prepare cases than by hand - that is certain.

I was never able to use this product, as the green tube is far too large to fit into both the black pieces that you threaded. Big L for double alpha-good idea, poor execution. Wasted my money.

Did you try and put the black adapter on from the top of the green piece or from the bottom up on the green piece? As I covered in the video, the green "tube" is actually tapered, so the ONLY way it can go on is from the bottom up.

Just ordered mine. Just wanted to go cheap. When it fails - I'll just get a lesson and experience in these compressors.. What already started intriguing me, were these issues here. Really odd one imo. Really would wanna knlw what is behind those bleed valve and whip holes. As if the whip threads going too far inside (without the steel/rubber washer) would block something and causing an issue to pressure up. And same with that bleed valve point. No idea why two white washer seals is needed cuz just oughta be a seal during filling. Might be a side air port in the rhreads or something? Dunno. But still an interesting thing if only that was the cause for it not working better than in the older video where it was only like blowing a candle out.. But. Will see for myself when mine eventually shows up. Probably gonna put an additional gauge before the air hose. The top gauge had a pretty darn wide pressure range it seemed, and the needle jumped around like a sob (dead-headed anyways).. But it seemingly is a pretty cool compressor project if not anything else for me in the future..

I see it online now for ~$0.40 a round. When you factor in tax, shipping charges, FFL receiving fees (for my state) as well as our new 11% tax on anything pew pew related, that jacks up the price quite a bit, so yes, for me it's DEFINITELY cheaper to reload. For someone just starting out reloading and wanting to begin on 5.7x28 (not recommended IMO a round to learn to reload on as it's not very forgiving), no, it would not be cheaper to reload.

Correct. Not quite sure what it is, but akin to a type of lacquer. Supposed be more for the P90 than the FN Five Seven pistol in terms of helping the round to feed better. I've heard of folks completely stripping the coating (via dry tumble and not having any issues shooting the round from a pistol. YMMV, so take that with a grain of salt). Interesting round, that's for sure.

@ReLoadersBench 14 күн бұрын
I've made a few videos of the FA X10 covering when it was announced, followed it for a few years until it finally shipped (shot show previews, Gavin previews, etc.) and then watched after it was released. Quite a number of issues post release that I tend to believe (don't quite know for sure) were finally worked out in the field. The lack of videos now that the dust has settled and it's been out over a year tell me all I need to know (I think there are more videos covering the things initially wrong/broke/replaced than there are "this is my cool press that runs flawlessly, check it out" ). There is not a lot out there in volume. I personally don't think it caught on like they had hoped, but I've never seen any sales numbers so I can't say for sure. A couple of channels have highlighted it, but nothing regular or ongoing. To fully trick it out, you will be laying out a considerable sum. The Mark 7/Apex 10 line are from what I hear a bit finicky and are quite expensive. I have my LnL and XL750 presses tuned to my liking and all things considered never really got the X10 "bug". I have more than enough presses and certainly don't "need" another. I was initially intrigued when announced and priced at $699. The endless delays and price hikes turned me off me thinks. Just not my cup of tea for the foreseeable future.

The Mark7/Apex10 were/are high end presses that have been out for years. I believe Lyman is the current owner and that probably means changes were made over time to increase production and lower costs (design and material "changes" as well most likely). The FA X10 was in "development" for so many years (I did videos on it when first announced at $699) and I would say for the first year of true production they were still working out some of the growing pains. Even with Lyman lowering (to some degree) the prices of the Apex10, the FA is a much lower cost "version" of a press with comparable stations. None of these 10 station presses, IMO, have not been without issues. Frustrating to spend that kind of money for hardware that still has some challenges. I'm taking a wait and see in this space as I've been "dealing" with only having 5 stations for so long it's routine now. When Dillon and Hornady come out with a 10+/- station press then I'll get excited. There is a DEARTH of videos on the FA X10, again IMO as compared to other popular presses, and that says something all by itself.

How much did other shooter’s interference from their shooting caused errors to the Chronograph by picking up their bullets?
@ReLoadersBench

The guy to my left was shooting .357 from a revolver and he was so far back from his bench it was almost a safety issue. Guy to my right was to the left of his bench so his GF could be in front of the bench and as he was demonstrating to her how to shoot the Labradar was picking up the shoots. I should have either found a less busy area or change the Labradar settings (left it at the default of "medium"). When neither left/right guys were shooting, the Labradar worked fine in picking up my shots with the taller tripod.

My original intent when installing the T-Track was for misc/smaller (e.g., powder drops, bench swaging/priming etc. shown in the video) but over time I've used them for larger devices (i.e., Hornady Case Prep Center) and for inline progressive RCBS Green Machine presses or old shotshell loaders (which are designed to operate on a flat surface and have a low center of gravity and small footprint). I use Inline Fabrication's flush mount plate system for swapping out presses. I do not use the T-Track for my "standard" progressive presses (Dillon XL 750 and Hornady LnL).

My .223 prep involves decapping/full length resizing after cleaning. That has ALWAYS presented a problem for swaging on the press in the past (unless I was using the RCBS bench swager). I own a Craftsman model 113.27701 Table Saw. My father bought it new about 1956. Other then replacing the fence rail, new belt, and wheels for the stand, it's in original condition. I may have been about 12 the first time he let me make some minor cuts on the saw. I'm now 78, and I used it today. 8 1/4" blade, 3/4 HP, absolutely no safety features nor dust collect, it still does everything I need it to do. One thing I've noticed, it take a lot long to set up an accurate cut, not sure if it's the saw or me!
