I enjoy your videos - Can you tell me the size of the Quick Change Tool Post? I see sizes like AXA, BXA, OXA - I'm confused on what size fits on this lathe. I have ordered this exact lathe and expect delivery this week and would like to change this out as soon as possible. Thanks so much.

Thanks. Hope they help in some way or another. My quick change tool post and tool holders are size 0XA. Good luck with your new lathe.

The magnifier is actually pretty useful and the NV will change the color from red to green it's definitely not water prof also it may hold zero if you put a little lock tight on the adjustment threads but lol. But the magnifier once again is pretty useful. Vid a little long, but look to see your range report
@ReLoadersBench10 сағат бұрын
My son said the same thing about the magnifier, which in my opinion, is the real (no pun intended, as this absolutely is a fake/clone and I'm not trying to say it's anywhere near the real McCoy) "deal" here. Would I put this on a long pew pew I need to run with? No way. Airsoft or PCP long pew pew? Why not.
@Sonic3579 сағат бұрын
@ReLoadersBench I actually purchased that to just tinker with and see what happened. Messed up the glass so trashed it. Mine had the logo like the real deal, but the NV button was a giveaway because it changed from red to green. I do use the magnifier, so I'm not mad

@ReLoadersBenchКүн бұрын
That's simple. I don't trust ANY company selling EOTECH/Aimpoint (or any other high end optic/holo/sight), so I always verify the serial numbers (real products have them) with the vendor to confirm authenticity. Also, I will only purchase this type of REAL gear from known/trusted sources (e.g., Brownells, MidwayUSA, etc.). Rain forest has SO many fakes, but if willing to use them, make sure FREE RETURNS.

I bought a “Gibson” Les Paul from some Chinese company several years ago. Looks wise? AMAZING! All the logos and hardware looked as good if not better than the real deal. Function wise? As expected, there is no way to get that Les Paul sound thorough cheap Chinese pick-ups. Looks cool on the stand in my living room I guess!

All my Temu Trl1 hl lights i paid 40$ run as good as one on sale for 135$. Their Romeo5 optics are just as well too.
@sassafrascat4870Күн бұрын
They are not "just as good" and if you think they are you're either blind or just don't have the real thing to compare it to. Wait till it gets wet or you drop it although I get the feeling most of the people who buy this kind of stuff will use it once and then hang it on their wall to look at and never use again. Plus you're supporting the theft of intellectual property when you buy products like this from shady sources on Temu. There are plenty of good reasons why this is actually illegal in America and reputable retailers won't knowingly carry knock offs of American products. Streamlight and EOTECH spent lots of time and money to develop these products and provide paychecks to American workers. The owner of the factory in China that made these cheap fakes isn't going to spend the money you gave them on developing next gen red dots and lights, or even pay a fair wage to its workforce. There are absolutely amazing less expensive options out there when it comes to optics these days, so why support theft from American businesses? Because you covet the logo? To convince your friends you're a "cool guy" and bought the real thing? It's just a sad and pathetic reason to support theft. Save a couple more shekels and get the real thing if you love the brand so much you would buy a knock off just for the logo. This sad mentality and shady business practices are part of the reason why these products cost so much in the first place and why so many American jobs get "shipped over seas" BUY AMERICAN!!! or don't, like I said there are lots of great inexpensive options out there, but don't support the theft of American ideas or spew this nonsense that these knock offs are the same thing or somehow equal to real American products... Especially with that flag in background of your profile picture, you should be ashamed of yourself brother.

They're still selling the same model numbers for cheaper. today it is selling for $96.89 to be honest I've seen other channels stress testing these Temu and other Chinese manufactured models they found online , most of them paid more than you did . The stress testing didn't go well. But i think if your just using them to do some plinking , or airsoft, or target practice they are better than the real deal... one because they are much much much less expensive , two if they break you don't have to freak out, 3 as I alluded to before you aren't depending on them for defending your home , or using them for purposes of hunting game Etc. they are actually a decent little deal to have something that works , clearly not as well as a real deal Eotech but they do work for having a good plinking session.

Maybe I should have shown the red/green reticle at its highest and lowest settings. I run my EOTECHs with just enough visibility to overlay the target, not wash it out. This clone/knockoff is just as bright (and just as barely visible on its lowest/lower settings) as my real EOTECHs. Unfortunately, the camera doesn't pick it up so well. Again, for $100 I can't complain. It's definitely better than any of my no name cheapie red dot sights, that's for sure.

Ummm, what do you expect, it's a low end/budget "solution" on a low end/budget mini lathe? I got what I paid for and I'm satisfied with that. Machining is a hobby at best for me, not an activity where I derive my livelihood.

Didn't actually test the knock off. Very poor review.
@ReLoadersBench5 күн бұрын
And the reason to test an obvious fake product is? Especially when the price was almost the same as the OEM. Do you hear yourself? Stupid comment. Knowingly purchasing a knockoff or clone for MUCH less $ would have been a reason to spend time on a review. That wasn't the case. Maybe you should try making a video for your channel, Jerry, instead of trolling channels that are actually posting work/content.

Glad you posted this! I just got the same lathe and was like "Wait... where the heck is the motor?!" Didn't realize it was built around the spindle like this. I haven't seen that on any of the other mini lathes. Mine works fine for now, but it does make me a little nervous for the future. Much more difficult to replace/upgrade than the conventional motor design and placement.

Reminded me of a car salesman...only interested in "helping" me if I was going to purchase...otherwise his time/effort wasn't worth it. These folks don't realize their jobs depend on folks not taking the easier path of not driving to their local BB, but instead staying home and clicking the mouse a few times, adding items to their cart and having them conveniently delivered to their door relatively quickly all for the same price or lower.

My brother in law got out of reloading, so I bought out all his supplies and equipment. He had bricks of primers that stretched from the mid 60s to 2015. And powder from WWII to resent. I started testing the real old stuff, it all goes bang with little to no different in velocity. So don't disregard the old stuff.

Personally, I will not run a progressive press because of all the safety checks they cheat us out of. I run all my brass through one step at a time on a single stage press, with hands on every step. This gives me plenty of time to catch cracks/split cases, primer hole issues, primer seating issues, bullets seating issues, and crimp problems. If anything is out of whack I have plenty of time to catch it. As for powder I weigh every charge! I use a powder thrower to dispense powder into the scale pan, a trickler to round off the charge weight on a beam scale, and then I set the pan onto a digital scale as a double check. If the two scales do not agree I recheck the beam scale poises and re-zero the digital scale. Normally it is the digital scale that has drifted, but once it was a beam scale poise got moved by accident. Either way all my powder charges get checked three times. Twice by scales and once with a visual, in the loading block, after I have charged a batch before seating bullets. I do what I do for safety, not speed, cause as the old saying goes "SPEED KILLS!" And I encourage all to not find out the hard way.
