I bought 2 sets a couple years ago from Costco. Great buy. I haven’t seen the 50/30 cal ammo can combo in awhile.

I bought 2 of these setups probably 5 years ago from a local sporting goods store. they are by mtm called an ammo crate. Only thing i didnt like about the ones i had is only mtm cans would fit in the tray. Maybe these guys did a better job.

I did a search on the MTM product (on the rain forest now) and they are quite a bit more expensive (list $41.15, selling for ~$34) than the similar Costco version @ $19.99 and the Lowes Project Source yellow/black (very DeWalt looking IMO) version for $24.99. Decent design/idea. Worth $20 IMO, not $35-$40.

@ReLoadersBench i have no idea what i paid for it back in the day. Speaking only for my cheap self i doubt i paud 40 for it lol. 20 is a great deal.

I have these and the MTM brand. They look similar, but they do not work together.
@ReLoadersBench3 күн бұрын
Doesn't surprise me they don't work together...would be "too close" a copy.

A copy of MTM ammo crate and storage system. Was at Costco yesterday and was thinking do I really need more ammo boxes??? Probably will pick some up to store all my bullets for reloading instead of various cardboard boxes
@ReLoadersBench3 күн бұрын
I was also thinking great for brass and bullets as well as completed rounds.

I got mine from Lowes, the same manufacturer, but in a different color. FYI, they are the same size as the Plano's small field box, so the fix is proper in the tray as a whale. I wish I could find the tray on its own for all my loose Plano boxes.

I've seen those a my Costco too. They are ok individually, but not as a crate with all of them in it. You would need a Crain to lift it up.
@ReLoadersBench14 сағат бұрын
I thought about how heavy one 30 cal ammo can is when it's filled with ammo...I don't think I'd be able to lift this if each ammo can was full of ammo. Good point.

@@ReLoadersBench But they are still a good deal when you price them individually. I think that's better than Harbor Freight 😃

Saw a very similar item yesterday at Lowe’s, except the tray is black and boxes are yellow. Brand is Project Source, $24.99
@ReLoadersBench3 күн бұрын
Seems to be a common-ish design that is popping up in a number of places. Did a web search for the Project Source version at Lowes...looks very DeWalt-ish, LOL.
@pastubbs3 күн бұрын
Yeah, I get mine from Lowes. it is cheaper since I have no Costco in my area and would have to ship them. Same product, apparently, they are available at several different retailers with different branding.

Walmart online refers to these as "Greenmade multi-purpose ammo storage unit." $40.70

Wow...2x the price. Hard pass at that price!

I'm glad to see it's made in the USA🇺🇸

I think since Costco started its stores from Washington State, so it prefers to call "0.3 MTM alike ammo cans" as "utility storages." 🤣

24.99 online in California, but I'm know that my costco might even charge more at the warehouse. That's what's happens with many businesses in Commiefornia.

When I picked up my Firman generator from Costco it was $50 LESS in the store than online. I guess the "free shipping" when ordering online has a true hidden cost.
@thinkingimpaired56633 күн бұрын
@ReLoadersBench what's also interesting is the warehouse will have the cheaper online price for a certain period then raise the price while not raising the online price. The warehouse will make you wait until they next sales cycle while keeping a lower online price. There are advantages shopping at Costco too. Recently I was told that computer personalized service indefinitely. I was under the impression that was supposed to stop at 90 days. So I'm glad I bought just about every computer from costco. Because there are times I do need help with my electronics. One frustrating fact I was told that the warehouse can only stock a finite variety of products and your favorite product can be pulled from the shelves. In the end I still like costco and will shop for the plastic storage bins today at the Costco warehouse. Thanks for the video. By the way Sportsman's Warehouse does have MTM Case-Gard ACR8- that is water resistant and holds 85 pounds. The guy is talked to said to never try to carry a full box with loaded up with the 85 lbs of material or trust it to properly seal like a metal box. The cheaper plastic boxes with water resistant ratings shouldn't ever be submerged. My MTM box will just sit on a shelf but I worry if my goods are truly produced from moisture. I plan to use dry packs to help keep things dry.

@ReLoadersBench thanks for the reply.i just replied to you back to your reply but YT might have deleted it. It's a PITA dealing with all the YT overlords limiting speech. Thanks for your video. Make sure to add dryer packets to the bins and never submerge the boxes in water.

@@ReLoadersBench Sportsman's Warehouse has a similar product online for 49.99. It's by MTM. They do have a single large crate that ACR8P-72 that interior dimensions of 14x13.5x725 inches. That you might like for 19.99 but i was warned not to carry it around at full rated capacity. And that the handles will likely break. I might buy a couple more for shelf storage of items for first aid.

I actually picked mine up in California for $20 so you might be in luck. Mine was in OC too, where most markups probably would happen. They actually went on sale months ago for $14.99 too, which was when I grabbed mine, but the original price showed as $20. Best of luck!

Pretty good find. I'm pretty sure they're labeling it that way as to not offend their employees. Costco is a huge diversity hire.
@ReLoadersBench3 күн бұрын
Definitely marketed to not offend. Shooters know exactly the purpose of the "cans" ;-)
