Childhood neglect comes in many forms and this is one of them. I was neglected, but I wouldn't blame my mother for it, she was a single mother who had to go to work and put food on the table and was out a lot, because of that I grew up to be quite independent, but also cold and uncaring. I was rude and lacked empathy. I still find it hard to care about people in my 30s.

No Gi is way more realistic in street fights. The Gi is just too much clothing coming off or getting in the way. Gi grapplers are way too reliant on grips on clothing. No Gi is the real deal.

No time limit matches don't prove who's better in bjj it's just a cardio game. Most of the time a lot of nothing is going on while they wait for the other person to get tired. No sport that has zero time limit is actually interesting to watch after the first 35 minutes

The point of jj is submission. The match should continue until there’s a submission, not silly points.

6:38 Splitting. Child splits the parent into good and bad. As the child is dependent on the parent for it's very survival, it introjects the bad object (parent can't be bad, if it's bad, I won't survive, so I must be bad). And voila. Mental/personality disorder emerge. Bad object remains with the child until it dies/the child hates himself for the rest of his life.

I couldn't watch Jiu Jitsu with the Gi. No-Gi is awesome, especially as someone who did Greco-Roman Wrestling when I was younger, it's so similar only real difference being Pins vs Submissions. The whole concept of having fundamentals of the Sport revolve around clothing always bothered me, No-Gi is the way.

I believe that any adult can see in themselves doing things, aspects, behaviours, using words that their parents or caregivers used when growing up just by paying attention to your behaviour. Now, if you really put on work on introspection (looking within) a thing that may come very natural to some of us, then it's 100% clear to you that your childhood, the experieces and trauma you went through in the presence of your parents or lack there of has great influence in your personality as an adult. Of course this is not all, this is then to be combined with the aspects of that given culture that you grew up in. What shows you watched, what books you read or lack there of, what kind of games you played, trauma or lack there of from childhood friends. Even things like heartbreaks as a kid, wether they came from other adults like our own parents or relationships you started to make in school.

African mothers carried babies for everything, even on their backs even while gardening, and they were referred to as primitive by the senseless world; until someone copied the cloth they carried their babies with and duplicated a baby carrier then it was all good. My dad was born in the 1920s and breastfeeding kids who were 3-4 years old was the norm. He was an intelligent accountant and lived to the ripe old age of 95 years. Families were tight, strong bonds, and selfishness was the unknown.

A human, distressed, is a person in need. We've forgone our basic instincts, and for years I have been personally battling society about what is "right" and what is "wrong." Children crying and hurt, being told that they need to "suck it up" and then the adults in the room turn their backs. I don't know what it is about me that I have to walk over, kneel, and talk with the kid about their situation at their level. I may administer aid, but the first thing I ask them is if they're "okay" and what happened to them. If they say that they scraped their knee or something small, then I reason with them like little adults about what they can do in the future as well as tell them that everything will be okay. I give them a voice to tell me what happened, what they're going to do, and how the situation will be resolved while showing them that someone does care. It is the right way, not the wrong way to raise a child. Dr. Gabor affirms the right way to do things and I am sad that I only found out about his work this week. Thank you for sharing this moment with him.

Not apologising has to be the MOST important thing about all this. The more we play by their rules, the more they grow. The more we speak honestly about our opinions and stand up for whatever we believe, the weaker the woke mob gets.

"Political conflict is not like an intercollegiate debate in which the opponents agree in advance on a definition of the issues. As a matter of fact, the definition of the alternatives is the supreme instrument of power; the antagonists can rarely agree on what the issues are because power is involved in the definition. He who determines what politics is about runs the country, because the definition of alternatives is the choice of conflicts, and the choice of conflicts allocates power." - E.E. Schattschnieider

His theories are based on left wing ideologies. He refuses to acknowledge raising kids in a Godless culture where there are no longer any boundaries or rites of passages has caused massive problems for our culture. It is perhaps the number one reason for depression. What else has changed in our society? Increases in Fatherless house holds. It doesn't take a village to raise a child! It takes committed authoritative parenting. BTW: Dr. Spock's book's influence is approaching 70 years ago and should be thrown out. Culturally most mothers don't ever listen to "crying it out" theories. The problem is, Mother's are forced to leave their babies at daycare facilities, as early as 6weeks old. So the problem in our modern culture is we now have several generations of daycare babies who grew up without a constant care giver thereforecreated severe attachment issues for these entire generations. Gabor's theories are wrought with inconcruencies

This is so important right now to understand and hopefully more will realize how serious it is on quality of life. I personally tried some "inner child" visualization practice and god... It was just horrifying. Because when the question comes up about "imagine your home" it was like.. uhh... It's empty and black and full of scary shadow figures. Just the impact of divorce early on is severe that life just feels painful all the time. And before getting asked that question, and reading/hearing more about childhood trauma now I know why. And people also don't seem to understand there are like layers to the issue with how badly it affects your perception. It also unfortunately has not just healed overnight either and affirmations tend to get overwritten. My assumption on why that is is because it's like you've got tons of neural connections that are affirming the opposite of any singular positive affirmation.

What pros does gi have over nogi? Why is it better to train both, instead of focusing on the superior (nogi) to develop faster? To me, gi is outdated. What's silly to me is some people being incapable of telling the truth or express their opinions freely for the sake of not offending a group.
