Kurt Cobaine was surprisingly good considering the vocals on the studio version was double tracked, possibly even quad tracked? I watched the “Classic Albums” series making of for that album but I can’t remember exactly how many takes they layered together but it’s at least two lol

MOST ACCURATE = 1) Bon Jovi (Especially with all the running around and jumping). 2) Axl Rose. (He did a lot of running around and jumping. But was NOT near accurate to the album). 3) Clapton. (But it's an easy song to sing sitting in a chair) 4) Hetfield. (Again... He wasn't running around. He never does). 5) Doesn't matter. 6) Do you get it now? 7) Freddie Mercury??? STFU... I hit EVERY one of his notes in Junior High. And by 9th grade he had NO chance of meeting my range.

I've probably seen most of the bands in the three videos live. With some of them, like Alice Cooper, it's a shame that it seems to be a bootleg, where the sound recording isn't very good. Hansi Kürsch and Eric Adams are definitely missing. Both singers are brilliant live. And where the hell is Dio?

Freddie Mercury is the best without question, but Perry and Geoff Tate are worthy of a mention

The differences you see here are mostly due to some bad mics used in some live show. James (check their live in Russia), Axl (check their live with MTV award), Kurt (check their live in Seattle), Bruce, etc were great singers in rock history, their voices in live shows are almost identical to their studio ones. The ones that differ a lot are like GooGooDolls, they can barely go up high in their live shows 🤣🤣🤣

I seen Queen 3 times live right to the last ever gig they did before Freddie died and the only music format that was just emerging was CDs and god I had played all of queens vinyl a million times then when I seen them in 82,84 and 86. I honestly couldn’t believe the quality of that band and Freddie’s vocal. Nothing has touched them since. Freddie sung and Brian’s guitar, johns bass and Rodger’s drums came out his mouth. The synchronicity was only capable with a joined brain and pure musicianship. RIP Freddie I miss you and wanted to die with you. I’m 61 now and you died 45. It’s a feckin travesty the best die young. Gary Moore, John Bonham, jimi Hendrix, john Sykes, Dio, Steve Steamin Clark and the rest of the rock god’s. Life’s f@king tough without you 😢

Had the misfortune of hearing Axl Rose live. Took a while to heal even though I left early. I would say Freddie Mercury is in a different league than the others.

Ordinary voices are the same in studio or live. Normal. Let's talk about extraordinary Freddie. This man played a lot with a studio possibility : sing softly. Sing softly makes possible to produce very high-pitched notes which are impossible to reach when the voice must cover external noise. That's why Freddie has never been able to sing live the very charming high notes of Bohemian or Melancholy. But what punch and globaly his voice was exceptional even if his tessitura wasn't as large as it's commonly said.

John bon jovi almost never sing his high note parts when live

I was quite surprised as to how good everyone was. Freddy was the best. I give second to Eric and everyone else a close third. I was surprised how good Axel and James were.
