@tonoleonsosa I like MinUI for specific handhelds. Mainly the ones I wanna just pick up and play and don't wanna deal with settings and tweaking things. Which color did you go with? I am kind of wanting the red. But I also want a black one so I can mix and match the red and black parts lol.

@ I got the white one because I thought it would make good contrast with the color leds, I didn’t know I would end up not using them. I like the purple one better. I hope some implements the led feature in MinUI and shares it.

If you feel you like doing more of these videos you could do a crash course on video editing, you are likely to find it's easier than face value, and at times when not boring AF, it can be quite fun:)

@Daffy-Deck I have looked into video editing a few times. I really need to focus and get it figured out. The only reason my videos are not edited by now is trying to balance my job, family time and running my online store. See I got excuses lol. If you know of any good editing programs, that are not overly complicated let me know. I will check them out.

The Trimui Brick, it's where my budget sits right now, and I am more likely to use these devices as a MP3/MP4 player. But it's hella brave to spend that much money, and if one more subsciption helps turn the head of Ayaneo, then dope af. Not all company's are that cynical though. The internet can be very unforgiving and company's are aware of this. Although I don't like Retro Games Corp, he seems like a decent chap, add Retrobreeze and Techdweeb, you have potential clout to reach to. RGC in particular maybe insensed as he's quite passionate. Don't let this one go, the Brick is a 10th of the price of the Ayanoonoo, but it's still one's personal possesion and future proof is what we seek, therefor it's what we must have, all in good time. @nzxtsnue1139 wow, yeah that's what mine did but it died immediately after. Watch this problem start showing up on most of the DMGs sold. Be careful with it and I would contact support and make them aware of your problem. Kind of get it on record that you pointed it out to them, so if it dies you can get it replaced.

@@TheRetroLegionOfficial might be the power controller chip , because on specs its says that it only capable to charge up to 25w , and if this chip is not working properly then it allowed us to charge beyond of what it capable to handle, and so something got fried in your device .

@L0nel33 So they are gonna downgrade the expensive one. I guess they would since the reviewers already got theirs. I would just go with the white/black at this point. Unless that color and storage is worth the extra cost to you. Happy they are fixing mine finally.

So happy to hear they are sorting you out. This issue with the plastic is a cluster F. The plastic on white/black is actually more expensive, they have added a UV coating that protects the plastic but this coats the matte finish of the original plastic. I personally would rather the unprotected matte finish. Here's hoping they don't actually "fix" the retro plastic.

Listen I have the 512gb black and trust me it gets hardly any fingerprints.so the retro even with the uv coating will get way fewer even with the off white colour.dont know why people think the plastic is different quality they will be moaning when the bare plastic version never cleans up in the future which it won’t 😂

@JayE-e2q First I heard of a black ayaneo device not having issues with fingerprints. That's why I went with the white, try a different color. Not that I really care about fingerprints on the shell. The handheld is meant to be used, so it's gonna happen anyway. Good to know the black dmg doesn't have that issue though. Thanks.

@Teknikfrik When I finally seen some comparisons on the rp5 and seen how small it was I got one. Then when it arrived I was still shocked at how small it is. Definitely "Pocketable". Get the case with it. The case is a good enough quality I feel like it's worth the little extra. What color you going for?

@TheRetroLegionOfficial i wanted the black one because of the "bezelless" 4:3 gaming experience but got the gamecube instead. It looks just more premium. And yes, ordered with the case. I know its not ideal but already looking for a grip... many people complain about the unusable stick problems...

@Teknikfrik Unusable stick? I'm guessing they are talking about the placement. Honestly the sticks have been just fine for me. I wanted the black one also and for the same reason. But all my high end handhelds are black so I wanted to mix it up...also the black was sold out when I ordered lol.

I have to keep the fov limited when at my work office. Just outside my camera view is customers personal info. Which is also why my monitors are always just on the desktop.

@MithosDagon That's a good point. All of my other handhelds have info about fixes all over. Ayaneo is limited and like you said probably not enough people have them. Ayn has always been top of my list as a favorite. I have had no trouble with them.

@Mechanicoid I love my Analogue, I just hate the way Analogue does business lol. The DMG is very good looking. Flooding the market is exactly what they are doing. Anbernic released what 12 of them last year. Most with the same H70p chipset. They just resold the same stuff in a different form factor over and over. I cycle through my handhelds, so even my older ones get some play time and I can also see how they hold up over time.

Foreign companies will ensure that quality will be upheld while manufacturing takes place in China. This is assuming we are talking about a reputable brand, of course there are bad ones all over the world. If you're old enough, you'll remember that Chinese companies were largely known for poorly constructed knock offs. They still make that stuff, but some Chinese companies have started to catch up with the famous international brands in terms of quality and creativity. It would still be better to stay away, because buying from them means your money is going to make an oppressive regime with imperialist ambitions more powerful. The CCP has close ties to Chinese corporations.

@protocetid I'm definitely old enough. Appreciate the time it took to write all that. Either way the item that sparked this comes from a company with generally amazing qc. I'm not to worried about who ends up with the money I spend considering one way or another it will go somewhere I wouldn't want it go. @CalumJonathan When I wanted the rp mini I went to order the sfc and second choice black, both were out of stock. Decided to go with the 5 one night and checked, all colors were in stock. Waited and ordered the next night and I wanted black but it was out of stock all of a sudden. My second color was the gcube color. I'm happy it ended up like this. Adds some variety to my handhelds lol.

@clyde2801 50/50 on that. Mine could just be a fluke. I would say if you wanna roll the dice, sure go for it. I have other Ayaneo devices and they are great. If you saved money for a device and can get 1 handheld and can't afford another for some time, then no.
