"I consider myself a modern man because i don't run around punching people" What a strange woke sentence of someone who feels like he is a better person 😂 Are you saying all men before us punched people? Does that include your father and grandfather? How disrespectful. But that's how the left is, plain disrespectful of people with a different opinion and disrespectful to the past and history. And im not saying it was better back then. It certainly was not.

Did the M-I-L joke get replaced by F-I-L now, or does this guy genuinely not like his F-I-L? I'l still continue to use the M-I-L joke. I did like the joke about comparing the price brackets with how much you like the recipients, and the rip on modern music.

Just discovered your channel. As someone who loves games, but has a hard time knowing which are worth buying you’ve become my new game guru. Love the enthusiasm, humour and rigour you bring to each review. Keep it up! :)

I think it's worth getting 1 or 2 expansion packs for Dixit and I love that they all fit in the box. I'm considering Abducktion as my next purchase, and it seems worthwhile to buy the expansion at the same time. They should probably just only sell the expanded version. King of Tokyo is better with the expansion, otherwise the characters don't have much personality. They should just sell it together in one box.

I love Carcassone. It's easy to teach, easy to set up, no reading required. It has a nice rhythm. Good strategy without being overly complicated. However, I think it shines at 3-4 players. With 2 players, you have max sabotage and no reason to form alliances, because completing a city you share with your opponent gives you the same number of points. With 3-4 it's still worth closing shared cities and roads even if you share points with one other player. I prefer that dynamic. At 5 players, I find the game can be boring because there's not much to do waiting your turn, and each player doesn't get enough turns to make satisfying progress. We split the tiles at the beginning of the game so each player can look at their top tile while waiting for their turn.

What follows is a criticism of these game choices. I completely agree that Clue is a terrible game as is but .... Four of your suggestions are cooperative, so not better in my opinion. Outfoxed gets a pass though because I would play it to let kids have the fun. Unfortunately, Outfoxed seems more like an elaborate but improved Guess Who. Also since it and Clue are aimed at different audiences, not a valid reason for ditching Clue (as if a reason is needed). That leaves Kronologic, if you like Star Trek Data's approach to analytic deduction, and Deception. ( Note: I could see myself buying Kronologic) I could be wrong but Deception: Murder in Hong Kong is probably the highest ranked game on BGG. Well yeah, it's the best game here. But it has up to 8 people on one team and becomes a bit of a cooperative activity. It can be thought of as a 2 player game ( Murder & Investigator) with a variant for a third player (Witness). Witness and a team member for the Murderer (Accomplice) only happen if you have 6+ players, at which point on game night we usually break out a second or third game. And finally, the essential "player" (Forensic Scientist) who is not allowed to play. He is the answer guy in the envelope. (Sigh). Clue is a great game after all, it's just people get confused by all the excessive components. Here's what you do: Buy Clue if you must, then throw away the board, die and character pawns. What you have left, apart from a pad of inadequate paper, can also be discarded in favor of 21 cards from.a regular deck, thereby ditching any remaining theme of the game. Then play normally without board movement and everybody makes one suggestion per turn. If I've just saved you $50-100, then my job here is done. You can thank me later. The above was written somewhat tongue in cheek, they actually are decent alternatives to Clue, which despite it's terrible problems I would still play once in a while. ( missing die again? No, no idea how that happened. I guess we're stuck with my variant again)

I watched another video from your channel. I just now realized you re-use the same rules explanations in each video... After watching your most recent video where you say that youtube doesn't bring in enough revenue, I can't help but think this is part of the reason. Not that you shouldn't ask for patreon, but like I've never seen that before where its the same exact clips used in separate videos. It makes me feel like I'm going crazy and like its extremely off-putting to me, and I assume others once they realize.

you know there are games where 1 or 2 players get booted from the game... or if there are games where less people can join.. i prepared a box of fidget toys like spinner , flipper , clicker and stuff... you think its a good idea?

This man is so biased. The same sex marriage comment is so unnecesary, ohh so edgy to say board games are older to christianity, be more edgy and say that are older than judaism. being so harsh on monopoly or life and linked it to previous generation is stupid. You say it: board games are ancient, and life and monopoly still follow the mechanics of very old games. Bashint simple mechanics just because is not funny for you is just stupid

You're kind of weird mate, boardgames being older than Christianity is just comparing it to a really old thing. Saying it's older than judaism is less clear because dating the start of Judaism is harder Also the same sex marriage thing is a you problem

unfortunetly memory games are quiet unpopular and i dont feel good gifting one in that case. but transportable games are nearly always a good thing since you have a lot more opportunities to play them.

Out foxed is so much fun with kids! Although, it’s really easy to deduct if you have a good reasoning skills. For kids that cannot keep track of previous information it’s absolutely perfect. I’m am trying to get my 4 year old into board games and this has been a hit. Even if he didn’t get to do what he wanted, being able to move the fox is a fun consolation prize for him.

Since your math makes no sense, I propose the New Fun Density Rating, equal to 2000 times the BGG rating divided by the size of the box in cubic inches.

I love this simple (*ding 21) candid video review of your game collection. I feel the same way (frustrated) about the boxes with logos and barcodes and odd shaped boxes. If a 4 to 6 player game can be stored in a standard sized box (ie a box with dimensions of lets say wingspan, great western trail, terraforming mars, meadow, ticket to ride, etc.), put it into a standard size box so that my game display looks clean. I also prefer to storing them vertically. Your video's are fantastic and I really enjoy your videos, the skits and word play and your overall take on games.
