Sweet. i put my kayak in there a couple years ago. Caught a bunch of Rainbows on Mepps Spinners and tiny jerk baits. Great action but i was really hoping to get a brown trout, we don't have those in NW Ontario. I see a few big browns caught in there occasionally on the Master Angler Records but i wasn't lucky. I see they just started stocking tiger trout in Lyons also, might have to go back!

Yeah the state of our designated sites fire pits is an embarrassment. We got a $280 fine once in Nopiming because we build a rock ring after seeing the Gov provided pit degraded to a pile of rust. It was mostly just the top and bends left and when I tried explaining my case the CO asked why I didn’t build the rock ring around the rusted out pit and I guess he had a point. We caught the fine and I think they reduced it. That was 15+ years ago. I vote to remove the mandatory fire pits and follow Northwestern Ontario rules regarding fires in the backcountry. Love the vids. You do all the same routes and lake I’ve done. Thanks for posting.
