Im a danish woman born and raised in Denmark, i been to the USA twice now, ive watched people at Walmart in the US, not all got make up on, some wore pj's to Walmart etc. besides yes we are very laid back regarding raising our kids and letting them go home by them selfs from school clubs etc. normal when i was a kid my self back in the 70's, we had the phenomen latch key kids... was down from second grade we walked home our selfs. Also with the low crime rates here in Denmark, there not so much to worry about really...

You are so weird making fun of the food. You can have a lot of food for vegetarian . You are mocking and very rude.

Get your facts straight, the tube for brown sauce is to color the gravy. The gravy is made the old fashioned way then colored with the product you are talking about.

too bad you have to take medicine to be happy. There are always side effects. having said that, it's great to hear that you're happy again. I hope you find a good job that suits you, but remember that if things are really bad, the temp agency always has something and often something that relates to what you have done before, maybe you have to work 10-20 different places before you find a place that suits you, but the possibility is always there 🫶🏻

A sausage inside a hole in the bred is called a French hotdog , and i think it is made like that , because it is easier to eat a hotdog like that , and NO , there is not only red sausages , you can get a lot of different kind of sausages , thin , thick , long , short , sausages wrapped in bacon , different spiced sausages , sausages with garlic , and sausages with garlic and cheese , and all these sausages is not red .

I’m an American married to a Dane for 38 years, and I also found a lot of these things weird. Especially sky, which is just vile, though FYI it used to be common place in England and the US as well. It was called aspic. But I love asier, and I would highly recommend trying it again, now that you’re prepared, with a piece of cheese on bread or something like that. They’re wonderful! Also, I think they might be made from a vegetable called marrow, which is like an overgrown zucchini., but don’t quote me! 😄

As a Dane currently attending university, I know we have it easy in the economic sense. But in your video you implied that we don’t have to spend hundreds of dollars on books, because we do. They say it’s especially because Danish is a small language.

Det klarer du rigtig fint. Som du nok ved, giver det rigtig meget respekt iblandt danskere når udlændinge lærer at tale dansk. Det viser en ekstra stor interesse i at ville være i Danmark.

I don`t agree at all. It sounds like you lived in Denmark in the 50`s. I never make brun sovs, I,don`t like sky, or eat smørrebrød all the time. You can by a lot of sandwich around and smørrebrød is more rare. Try go other places and by food you like. There are lots of places for vegetarians.

I am curious about the overly aggressive sexual activity in the Nordic culture if walking around naked is a norm in their culture. If so, How do them raise their children when the whole family walk around in the house naked without inbreeding ?

That question took a turn that is way out there! If you are a nudist, you just prefer to walk around naked... It isn't a sexual thing!

The red sausages are also called Viennese sausages, as they were invented by a sausage maker from Vienna. The original dye was banned in Denmark in 1981, as it can cause allergies. However, sausages sold under the name 'hotdog sausages' may be red. Seems like there is a big difference between Danish and American food.🤣😂

There were some Danish foods I liked. Always preferred medisterpølse to the rød pølse. Thought medister tasted much better. Those brown sauces are like the Danish mood on a dark rainy day. Pickled and deviled eggs were OK. The salmon open faces always seemed so messy. Danes went crazy for smørrebrød. I don't care for it. Seems messy.

In the US the govt tries to find ways to control the people. When I was a child my mom would leave my sister and I home alone with my brother who was a teen at the time while she was at work. Now if you say no to your child for any reason the government wants to take them away and say you are an unfit parent. Also people from other countries have a misconception of Americans. Yes you can say there is an American culture but in reality it depends on the race, ethnicity of your family's culture, also the region in which you live in. I grew up in the south which is very conservative and during my childhood there wasn't much diversity but when I was 13 I moved to New York City and it was a cultural shock to me.

Long Term Care....elderly have dignity in Denmark, regardless of personal income/assets. I live In Canada, and LTC is a total aberration. Greed and procrastination that stemmed from multiple selfish governments decades ago, placed the elderly at the bottom of the barrel (a burden to society) and left most living alone or being taken care from Gen X's like myself (sandwiched as we're defined looking after our own family as well). No wonder pensioners cannot afford care because LTC is unaffordable. Canadians ponder about every societal issue and attempt finding a temporary solution. You're right: Danes go straight to the point and get it done, with proper planning and social involvement. Thanks for your video.
