Absolutely nailed it with the Thai dating, the only Thai women that like foreigners are bottom of the barrel unfortunately.

Yeah that was the first lesson I really learned in Thailand. 'Fiscal grease' is bloody awesome if you can afford it. Agents smooth the system and without them you will get nowhere and nothing. My marriage certificate went from 'we will call you at some point within the next six months to come in on that day and we will finally do it' to 'what day and time would you like?'

I’m glad you mentioned about the toxic expect community on fb, I asked a question before and read others questions, the comments people wright on are so unnecessary and hateful, makes you think does living in Thailand make everyone un happy, also every online platform people are like that now, I won’t even ask for advise on those now. So thank you for you videos 🤙

I feel like people completely under estimate “immersion learning”. You literally have to be immersed in it; being in a homestay for 2 years with no English is immersion, being on Khao San Road for 2 years is not immersion.

Man those expat facebook groups ha ha. I spend a lot of time in CNX and was living there a while. I quickly learned that most of the groups are just full of negative and unhelpful people. The exact opposite of what you would expect. Most hide behind an animated or fake profile picture. Keep up the good work man. Cheers

Hey Adam why don't you use your Wise card to tap?
@KirkScolesКүн бұрын
Australian bank to Wise and convert to Baht when the rate is good (can set up auto convert at a set exchange rate). Then transfer Baht from wise to Thai Bank. Wise charges a set fee to transfer out so best to send bigger amounts. Only use the Thai bank when in Thailand.

Lotta people don’t know Thailand offers free medical insurance to tourists up to almost $14,000 USD or 500,000THB. Easy as a Google search to see the details. No need to purchase it

I met a Thai girl working at a bar and she is amazing. I’ve visited Thailand 4 times to see her and not once did she ask me for any money. She caters to my every need and wants to make sure I am happy. I offer to buy her stuff but she always refuses. She want to be independent.

In much of Asia, including Thailand, the best value way to move money is the old way. Cash. In particular, USD. (The rate on $100 notes at money changers is a fraction of a % from the mid rate.) Isn't it crazy how you could just use debit or credit cards overseas at ATMs 25 years ago without fees? Then the banks decided that the cheaper computer equipment and communications got, the more they'd ramp up fees!

I saw you today in Silom, Keis! Solid advice on the video. Similar experience with learning Thai, once you can speak enough in daily life, you need to put a lot of hours in to take it to the next level. I’m now trying to push myself to read and write using the just learn Thai technique 😂
@tommmmmerКүн бұрын
I agree. Tonal languages are very hard for westerners. However Thai can be forgiving for basic words where they can guess the meaning สวย vs ซวย ie suay vs suay (beautiful vs unlucky).. When you progress to longer sentances it becomes very hard
@Ben_in_BangkokКүн бұрын
@@tommmmmer Exactly, you’re spot on there. In English we have it to a small extent with homophones, but Thai language is like having 3/4 homophones in each sentence 😂 They are superb at understanding the context.
