Trouble shooting heater. While hooked up to shore power, The fan seems to run but no heat 😢 We just bought a 22 jayco. First night in it. Trying to beat the snow and get home. Is there anything we might have missed that you are aware of???

The security on the naval base and the area where the Navy Exchange/Commissary are located changed after 911. The Mexican restaurant was probably El Cazadors, it relocated along HWY20 next to Jack in the box. I grew up in town, probably a 15 minute walk to the marina, although as kids we would fish off the city dock where the flintstone car is located. Thank you for the trip down memory lane.

I’d highly recommend your first stop to be the visitor center at 200 Palm Canyon Dr, Borrego Springs. The staff can give you recommendations taking into account your vehicle and current conditions.

Thanks for the video. I have a Carefree Evolution on a WB Navion and I’ve talked to Carefree multiple times and over time they have even sent me two new sensors and a new BT module. The sensors pair and work for a while but eventually won’t pair anymore, usually after a few battery changes. The only thing that seemed to work is placing a switch on the BT module’s power cable to fully shut off power (Carefree’s on/off switch does not fully cut power to the BTmodule) and force a complete power reboot. That power reboot seems to get the BT module pair to the wind sensor. I did not know about the 10 second retract reset though that made no difference in not being able to pair. I’m just going to ditch the wind sensor since it’s been so unreliable…..and when it did work the batteries (used new Duracell) never seemed to last that long, maybe 4-6 weeks.

Great video. Very informative and well done. I think S&B now makes a 40 gallon tank that has space to go over those pipes and such near the rear of the tank. It works on a Revel which has a similar problem, not sure it would work on the GH1, but I hope it does. Any thoughts?

Man thanks so much ill try to reset my battery because is not charging right now, i went to the dealership like 3 times so far and i bought it like 30 days ago because the same issue so i got tired and start watching videos on you tube to see if i can fix the problem my self, all i see is bad reviews about the Jayco Terrain 4x4 mine is 2023 Jayco Terrain.

Quite impressive and i love the look , we also bought a jayco Terrain 2023 and dint get as lucky as you …….. we have so many recall ( lithium and fuse issue) been also 4 time for issue on the awning and more other problems, i am happy we dint invest in all these extra gear , as soon as we can get our problems fixed we will put it back on the market. It a first bad experience with Jayco products and last . Keep making those video you are dooing a great .

Thank you so much for your compliments! Unfortunately, we’ve had numerous issues, including a battery replacement, an alternator replacement, two alternator regulator replacements, a power window replacement, and several problems with the awning, just to name a few. What’s been even more frustrating is the lengthy and difficult process of getting warranty repairs approved. It has left us with the impression that customer support is severely lacking after the sale. In our experience, the company seems indifferent to product reliability and the needs of their customers.

@@terrain4x4adventures i follow you for a while i remember you having a leak in the back side near window and had to drive to the dealership quite far , We have been able to get an appointment at Jayco industry in December 2024 to get all fixed even if it a 14 hour drive i will do it hopefully we can finally get the service we are expecting. I think this is the new reality in the Rv business and wont help them selling unit in the future. Wish you both many great travel . Martin

We have a programmer at Agile Offroad that’s able to add a bunch of cool features like this. I have my lane assist disabled, my cameras are programmed to stay on while driving and my mirrors fold in when I lock the van.

Yes it did and I had a tad bit left over, enough to re-apply to the front bumper. It’s held up quite well. It provides a pretty solid base but it’s quite a task to apply to do it right. I brighten it up with a quick application of Chemical Guys VRP.

We have motorized carefree side awnings we install on our campers. A few of them don't close fully on the left side by at least an inch. It will close with force but pops back out a bit despite adjustments. It seems too tight at the knuckle..any thoughts?

Regarding the shower, a lot of people talk about getting the right balance with the hot and cold water. I have a simple solution. I set my water heater to 104 degrees and then I only use the hot water for the shower. The temperature seems a lot more consistent.

Wonderful! Two of my favorites are Coyote Canyon and Fish Creek. I’d highly recommend starting with a stop at the Anza Borrego Desert State Park Visitor Center at 200 Palm Canyon Dr. There you can ask about current conditions. Most areas are easily accessible with a 2WD. Have fun!

Excellent video,I am currently looking for such a van,as such,given the poor quality of build outs my main concern is the reliability of the Mercedes.Issues such as DEF,maintenance and access to service centers and any day to day issues.Do you have issues engaging 4WD? The Ford transit certainly checks all the boxes for me,thanks much.

Thank you! I’ve only had a rear axle wear out prematurely that was covered under warranty. There are plenty of shops that service Mercedes Sprinter Vans so getting work done has never been an issue. But n addition, there are significantly more after market options available for Sprinter vans than there are for the Transits you are also able to put much larger tires on them.
