Man thanks so much ill try to reset my battery because is not charging right now, i went to the dealership like 3 times so far and i bought it like 30 days ago because the same issue so i got tired and start watching videos on you tube to see if i can fix the problem my self, all i see is bad reviews about the Jayco Terrain 4x4 mine is 2023 Jayco Terrain.

Thank you for your extended video, it's good to hear the good , bad and issues the van especially now that you have had time to use all the features. Would like to hear about the fit and finished that you like and are an issue.

The fit and finish is decent. One disappointment is the fasteners Jayco uses to mount the panels. They tend to break easily. The real disappointment is Jayco’s warranty service. They don’t make things easy for owners. If I were in the market today, I’d take a hard look at the Tiffin GH1 or the Storyteller XO. Much better quality and service.

That’s an alarm the can be turned off. I believe it’s inverter setting # 25

Excellent video,I am currently looking for such a van,as such,given the poor quality of build outs my main concern is the reliability of the Mercedes.Issues such as DEF,maintenance and access to service centers and any day to day issues.Do you have issues engaging 4WD? The Ford transit certainly checks all the boxes for me,thanks much.

Thank you! I’ve only had a rear axle wear out prematurely that was covered under warranty. There are plenty of shops that service Mercedes Sprinter Vans so getting work done has never been an issue. But n addition, there are significantly more after market options available for Sprinter vans than there are for the Transits you are also able to put much larger tires on them.

Trouble shooting heater. While hooked up to shore power, The fan seems to run but no heat 😢 We just bought a 22 jayco. First night in it. Trying to beat the snow and get home. Is there anything we might have missed that you are aware of???

Right on great video guide. I've owned the 2023 Jayco Terrain for a few weeks and yeah you're totally right, lots of features. I tried to turn on my spot light with the touch panel but it doesn't seem to turn on, is there another button I need to press?

Right on thanks, I finally figured out that you need to have the engine on. I was confused as my Firefly dash had the spot light as an option which is an old interface. Thanks to your videos I've made purchases from Canyon, Wanderful (front cab) and soon The Overland guy for window covers.

​@terrain4x4adventures yah had to find the part where you go through the 4x4 section. Oh man, the van was in 4x4 high this entire time since I picked it up in March. So I've been driving in 4x4 high with the light on the button. I'll have to turn it off tomorrow morning as it's not winter up here in Canada. Did you drive in 4x4 high all winter in Colorado? Be great to keep it on 4x4 high during the Canadian winters.

Since you're an avid skier, what do you do to keep your battery warm and/or operational when you boondock in the mountains? I live in Canada and I was told to not use my battery if the outside temperature is below freezing.

any quality control issues? why did you choose jayco over the other sprinter builds? thx, great vid. good to see someone actually using the RV. Whats the longest you've been out boondocking or overlanding ?

Yes. The Renogy battery system is prone to failure - I would not recommend. Jayco has switched to Lithionics on their newer models. I was seriously considering a Winnebago Revel but discovered the Jayco Terrain. I chose the Terrain because it had a much bigger battery, onboard air compressor, Koni shocks, light bar, power/heated seats and was $1,000 less at the time. I think the longest I’ve been boondocking was 21 days. Thank you for the compliment. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. If you’re in the market for a van, I’d take a close look at the 2025 Tiffin GH1.

Debating between Revel, Terrain and GH1, all new, any suggestions?

If I were in the market now, I’d be taking a hard look at the AWD Tiffin GH1 or the Storyteller Mode XO. Unfortunately Jayco’s customer service support is absolutely horrible if you need any warranty work done. After what I’ve been through, I’d never but another Jayco product.
