@ I ordered the drive gear box. The same roller as yours froze to the pillow block but I was able to get them apart. The pillow block should be made of graphited plastic ,graphited bronze ,maple, or lignin vitea . It just takes a speck of rust or dirt or wood dust to make this crash. If it was preloaded with oiled felt it might last longer.

What is going on in the trades. I have had three separate contractors no show on me over the past two weeks for drywalling. Ended up having to do most of it myself. Saved me some money I guess
@TSBfixitnow26 күн бұрын
I think over the last several years or so the workforce in general has lost able body workers or able minded workers, its become difficult to get people to actually do work, show up and get things done. I'm 56 and find some things more difficult as I age, and I'm not alone, and the amount of us who are exiting the workforce is greater than those who are entering, the younger generations have been taught that hard work (physically) has no merit. I do notice many business who are constantly looking for workers, but many are seemingly comfortable living with parents and or not even leaving the house. Those contractors you called are probably getting plenty of calls, but struggle with employees, call in, no transportation, legal issues court dates. I pretty much work by myself. Sometimes I try to pay some one to help on jobs, It rarely is beneficial because of some of those things I mentioned. I think its going to get worse

I'm 46, been in the trades since co op class in high school. I'm one of the "not so smart" ones that's still in it. Reason the trades are in the dump is because like in my situation my employer pockets all the cash, pays pennies, no vacation, sick days, no medical, no health benefits, no dental, no 401k, diddly squat. But yet beating the crap out of your body, out in the elements, driving many miles from home, days off here and there, so why would anyone want to get into the trades?

Sitting in a nice warm office playing grab ass with Suzie and Tina all day while playing solitaire sounds much more appealing. Especially when getting over 100k, compared to say me in the trades for 20 yrs earning 30k year.

Don’t forget, everybody wants the cheapest price possible on their project- in many cases there’s little to no profit for this hard work, that you can’t get help with anymore, because they can make the same $ working at Walmart.

A shame you’re in okc, I need help on my basement. Never niche down
@TSBfixitnow26 күн бұрын
I just did a basement early this summer, vent pipes were steal and rusted, water just poured into it. I sleeved it with a smaller pipe and encased it with hydraulic cement, and cleaned the gutters to divert water away for the area, that one lady customer had me work on 4 other properties this summer and fall. I don't advertise, all my calls are word of mouth, rule 1 is show up, do a good job for a fair price and go home. If you have a question about your situation let me know. Maybe I can help.

Side note: Guthrie is also the final resting place of Elmer McCurdy a failed outlaw in life who ended up gettin around much more in death than life. Had mine for over 2 years. hundreds of board feet through her. Oaks', walnut , cherry , pine, cedar, you name it. Currently running Rosewood (baby crib) build. One time I got carried away, she got a bit warm. I just stopped and let her cool off. Another random thing I have happen is the feed rollers slipping. No idea why. Run a board, grab another and no go. flip the board and it works.

@@TSBfixitnow it's not going to work out for them either, it makes no sense .their power is bought through their wealth, they get their wealth because of consumers such as workers,factory workers, long shore men ect .and if everyone loosing their job to ai who's going to consum to make the morons rich? I looked at them for awhile, for the price I think its very good, I just happened to over feed it, and the customer service was good, and the replacement motor arrived in three days. How is this politically biased in any way? Unfair compensation and breach of contract is universally frowned upon and can have economic repercussions that halt international trade. Natural disaster happens all the time and it’s always a good thing to be prepared for the worst case scenario. Regardless of your political affiliation. Great job projecting your ignorance!

@TSBfixitnow3 ай бұрын
@@KopperRookwell dude I guess the thousands and thousands of people who have lost everything including family members is political bias. If you think this is fear mongering you must have very thin skin, but I assure you if you had a family to take care of, you would not enjoy the helpless feeling of watching those you love suffer for days or weeks without food water or shelter. I hope you never have to go through something like that, you won't think looking back that this is fear mongering.
