My KIA Sorento suffered catastrophic engine damage due to the faultly oil pressure switch assembly which was the reason for the KIA recall. Besides the leak which went undetected and relativley sudden, the oil pressure warning light never turned on. KIA in 2022 had mailed a letter regarding the Oil Pressure Swith Leaking New Vehicle Warranty Extension to 15yrs/150K mi., along with a reimbursement form for damages, expenses. I submitted the form. My certified auto mechanic provided documentation and expert written testimony supporting the catastrophic engine damage was due to the faulty oil pressure switch assembly. KIA has to date denied two submissions, one made in response to a first denial, each for trivial reasons which for I have provided more documentation debunking each denial. Basically this is an effort by KIA to renege on thier extended warranty. Next step is Small Claims court with additional damages and losses.

Any ideas? My 2014 Kia Cadenza has a push button start. Intermittently won't start when button is pressed. The dash does light up. I have changed the fob battery. My work around is pressing the starter button for 10-15 seconds. This has been going on for a couple of years. The dealership doesn't have cluse. Could it be a bad break switch? I'm not car tech savy. Thanks

If the dash lights up the key is being recognized, the issue is going to be after the button is pressed, know on the starter while attempting to start the vehicle, you might have a dead spot in the starter windings

I love my power probe just for that reason. It comes directly from battery and you always know which is power and ground. You can then check motor with direct power too . Great video

@@JLsAutoSolution Thanks for the reply. so Ford IDS will work? For some reason I can get my vcm2 to work with Ford IDS but Mazda IDS will not detect it. From everything I have read Ford and Mazda IDS cannot be installed on the same computer. I've had to reinstall windows multiple times just to Try to get this computer programmed and I'm stuck. Ford IDS doesn't seem to recognize my 2012 mazda 3

@@Alobster1 that is correct. You cannot have Ford IDs and Mazda on the same computer. They actually have to be on two separate computers or two separate hard drives

Multimeter test is completely wrong. You're basically relying on the fact that the more amount of water in the fluid conducts more electricity. However, multimeter reading would depend on the contact surface area of the fluid, the place you touch to chassis for ground, magnitude of the current multimeter uses to measure resistance. This test is multimeter model, prob type, car and operator dependent. It means it's completely BS.

yes it can. you need to reset the immo and reset the pcm using special functions then reprogram the keys to the vehicle , but the vin will remain in the donner pcm, only by cloning or doing this process can the vin be changed/transfered

@@peterbartley1854 you cannot rewrite the vin on a used ECU they are one time writes then locked(on Kia/Hyundai) you need to manually change the vin or have the original ECU cloned.

@@peterbartley1854 yes. If you have a 908/909/919 mk906/mk908(ibelieve or higher) it can do this process. Enter into immo section and perform ECU reset, you then need to reprogram the key to the ECU, you will need the pin code for the vehicle in order to complete the key learning process( if your are in the USA please check if the vehicle is equipped with an immo system)

thanks Chris I'm lad you enjoyed it. I think that never assuming something has been checked is the best approach on vehicles that have been to multiple shops, always start from the beginning and follow the data that is in front of you.

Great job so far. Had you done a lot of body work before you started working on the 05 truck? I bought a 2005 F150 last year but its previous owner had just put in a new engine. It runs great but has a lot of rust too. Haven't done body work in ages but used a lot of fiberglass and fill on an old MGB I bought as a kid. It ended up looking pretty nice and it's nice knowing, at least the fiberglass sections wouldn't rust out again. I was also really surprised how easy it was to work with... once you got the hang of it. Keep up the good work.

I have FRPS circuit hight eror.engine cant start but at same time i have fuel pressure readings that goea up to1200 when cranking.but i am going to perform the test as shown

it depends on which vehicle. there can be either 2 sensors. if there is a gdi system there always be one at the fuel rail(which is for the hp side) and another for the low pressure side. the circuit hi code is more likely due to wiring or a sensor. thanks for watching

I have no control either if I use a scan tool I can control it to come on heater fan and everything but the heater control is dead not turning on heater or nothing can it be the body control module too I replace it with another heater control unit and did the same it’s not sending any power to come on
