I'm 10-days post rotator cuff surgery. If I don't do anything stupid, the pain during the day is almost zero. HOWEVER, at night it's a completely different ballgame! I've not had a full nights sleep since the surgery. I've tried all the painkillers including morphine, but nothing makes any difference. The only thing which helps (and helps a lot) is ice! An ice pack on my shoulder and a slim pillow under my arm and over my chest is the best remedy I've found so far.

Surgery was 8/26 and this pain is no joke. I've used pillows, blankets to help and still wake up in pain. Or lay in pain

Don't let the procedure videos scare you from doing this! I had total knee replacement in April and can move so much better now and without pain. I work a 12 hour shift job in the hospital and it was an excellent decision.

Why is this caused at Birth?? I already had hip replacement because of a car accident and I have 2 screws. Wouldn't a second surgery be risky . I am waiting for an appointment to figure out, exactly what I really have . I have one of the three kinds of gait . I am NO professional on this topic. It's either Trendelenburg Gait, Myopathic Gait or Waddle Gait. I walk side to side or imagine a duck walking side to side . But my toes are point straight and not to the side . Since 2021 , I been doing exercises for strength, balance, etc , just to walk normal.

I was told entire rom (full range of motion) isn't impossible after knee replacement. But I live in Italy, and I fear surgery isn't as advanced as in the USA? How much does it cost a knee replacement in the USA, please? I am thinking about going there to have surgery...

How do you sterilize the knee parts before placing them on the bones? Looks like they come in a plastic container? I'm getting my knee done in January 2025 and an infection scares the hell out of me. From what I've read, only 1-2% get an infection, but if you get one, it's really bad.

I had a MAKO partial knee replacement, it lasted five months. Two years later after nerve ablations, pain clinics and a lot of fun-sucking pain, I manned up for a revision to a total. I’m two months out on a total knee revision. I don’t remember any trauma to the partial knee, I just developed pain and impingement because the tibial component was loose. It was so loose, they said the parts just fell out during the revision. Probably 20% of replacements have some problems. I tossed a coin between partial and total, and I guessed wrong. The total replacement is definitely a rougher post-op and rehab. Stuff happens.😮

VÍ EL VIDEO DE JANE., QUERO DECIRLE QUE ME LLENO DE PAZ, CALMO MI TRISTEZA,DEPRESION Y ANSIEDAD. ESTADOS DE ANIMO QUE NO ME DEJABAN EN PAZ NI DE DÍA NI DE NOCHE. ¡ NCREIBLE !

Y ojala y Dios me ayude a tener unas buenas cirugias 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Anyone who has had ORIF. You need to look at the published medical research - all the modern research states that post ORIF for uni, bi, tri malleolar fractures that in many/most cases, immediate weight bearing is advised, with no statistical poorer outcomes (fixation failure, reinjury, etc). Educate yourself, the studies are easily found, then speak to your surgeon.

I haven’t seen one video yet that’s been accurate and helping you sleep at night. Only position that’s comfortable is on your back. Any position that takes your shoulder out of its natural neutral position hurts. Laying on your side, even with pillows causes your shoulder to go up towards your head as it relaxes, that’s unnatural. Nobody ever told me prior that my arm could not lie on the bed directly that it had to be elevated. I did elevated with a little pill or towel to keep my elbow from having pressure on my elbow all night I never tried to recliner because ours is manual on the same side. So just accept you’re gonna sleep on your back while you heal.

Thank you for this! It's very difficult to find cases that aren't teenagers! Im 50 and I'm having a 2 day surgery in a few weeks. The first day they're going in thru my side to open up & fuse my L4-L5 & L5-S1 and the following day to do the rod & screws from my pelvis to T4. Your video helped me tremendously! Thank you 🙏🏼😊

I have had three different sets of knee replacements on each leg with each doctor saying the last doctor measured wrong. This has transpired in fourteen years. I was thirty-eight when the first surgery and for nine years it was pure hell with the buckling of the knee at any given time. The second set of total knee replacements was in 2019 so those did not last long with the new doctor telling me the last doctor measured wrong so here we go again with the third set in November of 2023 and six months later the other leg which I am recovering from right now which was replaced in June of 2024. I am not doing this again I have done it so many times my range comes back on its own without therapy and my legs were naturally strong so I didn't even do therapy because all they came to do was milk the insurance company. I never used a walker or a cane I just muscled through it. I know time is the only healer for me at this point. I am only fifty-two I am not trying to do this again ever after six times.
