Having used Canon EF zoom lenses for 30 years and now recently with RF lenses, I have yet to get a single particle of dust inside a lens. No offense, but you must be dragging your lenses through the dirt. YMMV, I suppose.

I would not buy this one just because the camera mount part is painted in black. Over time the black colour will wear off as can be seen in the video and it might end up on the sensor. This is annoying and requires cleaning of the sensor.

Yes I know not everyone can afford these bags but wouldn't people want to see what other people think of the bag before wasting their money? Like what other KZbinrs have said about this bag, I bought a kislux and I'm very happy with my bag. Thanks to the blogger, I showed this video to my sister and now she will definitely get the Louis Vuitton bag she has always wanted! Love this kind of videos!!

The new look is interesting. I guess if you’re moving around it makes it easier. You certainly have width but the height is not quite there. But I could see and hear you which is the main thing. If it’s easier for you then that’s a big plus. And on camera software being outdated I would agree. There needs to be more flexibility. The phones will gradually get better with software.

So what if your house is like 18c then you just quickly walk to your car and drive for an hour or 2 and your car is about the same would it be okay to leave your camera in the camera bag all the time or?

These videos are getting so dumb, Before you Buy. But these clowns never buy, More respect for those few that actually buy gear then do reviews.
@vaskoobscura_14 күн бұрын
100% agree with you. Sometimes I follow the trends to help build up my channel but the video concept is a little silly. Also agree that the reviewer should own and use a product for at least 6 months before making a review. I mean how could you really know a product without putting it through real world situations. Lots of fake reviewers out there who’ve never even worked as a professional photographer before.

Yep, f2 is so good, but slow autofocus (comparing to RF 24-70L F2.8) and no lens stab = no go for me.
@vaskoobscura_14 күн бұрын
The AF isn’t so bad. Haven’t had any issues with it shooting portraits. For run and gin video work lens stab is an issues. You can manually set your IBIS to 200mm which helps a little but not as good as lens IS. Thanks for the comment.

What about wrapping the gears in fabrics before inserting them in the airtight plasticbag ? If not compromizing the process; then what would be the best fabric ? flees, polyester, wool, thin felt ..? What about adding (aswell) a rice-bag or silicone-cristals-bag (available at drugstores) in each such plastic bags ? (to be dryed afterwards in microwave oven - would ruin the fabrics?) ?
@vaskoobscura_14 күн бұрын
You can also keep your camera in your camera bag and let it warm up in there. I don't know if fabric would work that great it might help a little. The problem is air travels through fabric and the fabric should also be cold. If you warp your cold camera in warm fabric you'll get condensation in your camera for sure. A plastic bag is best. You can find bags everywhere just keep one in your camera when you shoot in the cold.

@@vaskoobscura_ THANK You for having taken your time to answer me so well - but I now have totally corrected my above questions as U just realize they did not convey what I meant -SORRY ! You might want to remove - or modify Your answer ? Sorry again! ..Yes the bags with cloth and ricebag/silicone would all have to be at least same if not colder temperature than the equippment. (at home kept in freezer, when traveling : joined to the equippment...

Just make sure you have dehumidifier in your house then this isn’t necessary as dehumidifier’s always get rid of moisture in the air which can damage electronics
@vaskoobscura_14 күн бұрын
True a dehumidifier helps. Winter air is naturally less humid and with a forced air heater the RH in my studio drops to 20% in the winter. It's dry as a bone in the studio.

I have the RF 50mm F1.8 for my RP and I shoot landscapes mostly. It does a pretty good job, as you said in great lighting. I prefer to shoot in cloudy conditions with that lens and then process them as black and white. Looking at the EF 50mm f1.4 to add to my collection, however, not really sure. Have the EF 16-35mm f4 which is a great lens for a walk around option, along with the EF 28-135mm which is ok for what I paid used.
@vaskoobscura_14 күн бұрын
Sounds like you're pretty set. The 16-35 plus the 28-135 give you some pretty good range and when you shoot landscape you're usually at f5.6 to F8 utilizing the sharpest apertures of the a lens. You don't really need the 50 1.4 unless you plan to shoot in low light or are looking for some soft bokeh. If you're on IG give me a follow and say hi. I'll follow you back and take a look at some of your shots. instagram.com/vaskoobscura_

The Olympus TG-6/OM TG-7 are weatherized cameras and is weather sealed. It has a larger phone-sized sensor of 12MP, but take decent pictures when light is adequate. It is also waterproof down to 30'.
@vaskoobscura_14 күн бұрын
Don't be fooled. Weatherized and weather sealed don't mean waterproof. You can't take those cameras underwater which means air, including humidity, can get inside the camera and condensation can form on the electronics. Weather sealing on a camera only means you can shoot in the rain that's it. It's not air tight.

Ziploc does great with camera and small lens, but if you are out with a superzoom, I recommend using like a 13 gallon garbage bag. I do that when I forget my camera bag. Remember to take the battery and card out before you go inside so that you can just let your camera sit and slowly adjust to being inside. I do wildlife and northern lights down to -10F, and this works for me.
