Thumbs up for the thumb rest! I also have a L bracket which makes holding the X100VI even more secure and comfortable. Mask On Nurse Marty (Ret)

OK I have a X100 VI and purchased the fuji adaptor and filter - big question : Obviously no thread visible on the lens as stock - Presumably one has to remove the front lens ring - How do you get the blighter off without using too much force?
@vaskoobscura_3 күн бұрын
Just give it a good twist without squeezing it and it should come off. It’s always the hardest to get off the first time but after that it screws on and off pretty easily. If you use four fingers and apply pressure equally on all side that should do the trick. Hope that helps.

@@vaskoobscura_ That did the trick - Thanks for the heads-up - I didn't want to wreck anything!

thanks for mentioning the problem with the space between filter & moving lens part at 9:00 ! I used to own a second hand X100T which had many many focusing problems, probably because somebody did this "hack" to his X100. So people pls spend that extra money on a adapter! XD

Keep in mind that the X100VI read/write speeds only go up to UHS-1 standards. You can use a UHS-2 SD Card, but the camera will limit the read and write speed to that of a UHS-1 Card. Not to say that you shouldn't use a UHS-2 card. For people who are buying this camera to shoot JPG and will mostly be using the Fuji X App to transfer photos, it would be more cost-effective to buy a cheaper UHS-1 SD Card. If you are shooting RAW or are planning to transfer large amounts of photos to your computer, a UHS-2 Card would be more ideal as it will have faster transfer speeds compared to a UHS-1 Card.

Very good points there. Thank you for that. My UHS-1 card must be really slow maybe a faster UHS-1 card would be a better choice. But as you said transferring raw files to a computer is another thing to consider. Thank you for the comment. Appreciated.

Right, first things first. I watched one of your earlier videos and did not like it at all. I even left a dislike and a negative comment. However, on reflection it was not so bad after all and a darn sight better than anything I could produce. So, I deleted my comment and changed my Dislike into a Like. My apologies for leaping it too early. Now onto THIS video, I found it to be excellent. A lot of fun, full of interesting stuff and very entertaining. I do own an X100VI so found the content to be directly relevant. Thanks.

Hey thanks for the comment appreciate the honesty. In all fairness I'm still learning how to craft videos. I made a lot of mistakes in my older videos but that's all part of the learning process. Glad you found this video more appealing. The X100VI is my favorite camera. It's so much fun to use. Hopefully I'll see you around again for another X100VI video.
