Wow, what an excellent trip report. I hope they can also fly to Manila. May I suggest reviewing Chinese airlines (AC, MU, CZ, etc)? They offer affordable flights from Asia to Europe so I’m curious about the whole flying experience.

Yup there are quite a few Chinese airline reviews down the line, currently there’s Air China in the channel. I’ve also flown Xiamen and they’re surprisingly good.

Maybe some airline in the US can buy or lease the Boeing 737 800’s from Singapore Airlines once Singapore Airlines retires them? Southwest Airlines, American Airlines, Alaska Airlines, United Airlines or Delta Airlines fly the Boeing 737 800. An airline obtaining a 10 year old Boeing 737 might be worth it. Even if the airline has to do some maintenance on the plane. Boeing and Airbus cannot manufacture new planes fast enough for the market demand.

What's controversial is that a premium airline like Singapore Airlines has chosen the 737 MAX for use in its fleet. Unforgivable!

I love the singapore airlines box meals. Flew SQ for the first time in 5 years between SIN and CGK from LHR and was impressed with the regional international catering. European carriers need to take note.

That’s quite true, I was on SAS intra European economy a few months ago, the only thing that’s free is coffee or tea, quite disappointing. Maybe I should do a comparison video about it.

@@ShortTransitSG Trust me, even flying domestically with Garuda, the service, both hard and soft product, was better than flying BA/Easyjet from London/Bristol to Lyon. Even on the 737-800's, the hard product is much better than the Euro BA A320's, with no recline.

SQ economy has definitely taken a step backwards. The cost cutting is clear to see. Flying with other Star Alliance partners gets you the same experience for less money. No point flying SQ unless you're flying in their premium cabins these days

The only thing controversial is how safe it is to fly Boeing 737-800 max. With the Boeing scandals related to MAX models i.e crashes and door blowing off, i think i will be avoiding SQ's regional routes that use MAX planes. The meals SQ serve really is a cost cutting exercise under the guise of being ECO ftiendly. Serving meals in black plastic trays screams cheap, tacky and reminds me of the cheap microwave frozen meals. In the 1990's economy meals were served in oval shaped ceramic casserole dish. Then sometime in 2000's SQ changed to white coloured hard plastic dish, which is lighter in weight compared to ceramic, but still elegant enough. Now these black trays served on longer routes reminds me of meals served on likes of AirAsia. Just cheap looking.
@bunny1bunny2bun
@bunny1bunny2bun 23 күн бұрын
I've flown AirAsia before and I find the food on that airline to be rather good, although it's expensive. I think for locations where SQ sends their 737 MAX, I will rather take a longer flight using AirAsia instead.

Hi nice video. I often fly on the 767s to Kumamoto. I love the 767s especially the 767s configured for international routes (those that come with winglets). Kumamoto is also served by tway and starlux airlines with direct flight from Taipei and Seoul. Haneda has 4 active runways with 3 operational at any given time. If you sit on then left side you can get a glimpse of Mt Fuji if weather permits. My wife hails from south Aso village situated close to Mt Aso. The scenery is breathtaking with ryokans and onsens scattered all over.

Also ZIPAIR free wifi only has F&B menu and flight information compared to TVs programmes and Movies on Air japan.

Excellent trip report. When I first watched about Air Japan, I was a little let down because I did expect more from Air Japan like IFE screen because ANA is a really good airline. But now looking at the meal they sold on your flight, I've changed my mind. That's very high-quality. I think I have to try them in the future. Just a question... if I purchase 2 additional luggage and a meal, will the price be cheaper than full cost airlines, or it'll be almost the same? Liked and subscribed

Scoot charges $5 for the use of power outlets. There's no point installing them when no one is going to pay for it, especially for planes that only fly short haul. Bring a power bank instead.

Thanks for the review. I took scoot E2 Singapore Miri earlier this week, what no ones talking about is the cramped up head space and when you stand up your head literally hits the roof (I’m 179CmM). This flight is claustrophobia 101 - I didn’t take the return flight, rather rebooked on a separate flight even if it meant a 2-hour direct flight would become 7 hour with 1 crazy transit. Sorry wouldn’t take this again!!!

For a regional jet, it’s honestly, surprisingly quite spacious, especially the aisle area. But when you compare it with their usual A320s, headroom wise it’s definitely smaller, but the 2 2 seating do make things slightly more comfy
