Flying Scoot’s BRAND NEW E190 E2! | Singapore to Krabi (Inaugural Flight)

A new aircraft has officially joined Scoot’s fleet. It’s small, it’s versatile, it’s the Embraer E190 E2! It’s the new small plane Scoot has been promoting lately, a plane that enables them to expand to destinations such as Koh Samui and Sibu. I was fortunate enough to get myself a ticket on the inaugural flight, made even luckier with me scoring a nice seat ahead of the wing.

Scoot charges $5 for the use of power outlets. There's no point installing them when no one is going to pay for it, especially for planes that only fly short haul. Bring a power bank instead.

Having it, and offering it to passengers for free will definitely elevate the perception of the product, especially when Scoot is charging some high prices for their flights + having quite a number of SQ connecting passengers

Thanks for the review. I took scoot E2 Singapore Miri earlier this week, what no ones talking about is the cramped up head space and when you stand up your head literally hits the roof (I’m 179CmM). This flight is claustrophobia 101 - I didn’t take the return flight, rather rebooked on a separate flight even if it meant a 2-hour direct flight would become 7 hour with 1 crazy transit. Sorry wouldn’t take this again!!!

For a regional jet, it’s honestly, surprisingly quite spacious, especially the aisle area. But when you compare it with their usual A320s, headroom wise it’s definitely smaller, but the 2 2 seating do make things slightly more comfy

FYI, the E2 and other Embraer jets are fairly common short haul flights within the EU. You’re probably not used to it

The per seat costs are definitely higher on this jet compared with their A320s due to the smaller capacity, which might translate to higher ticket prices
