It’s so tragic that Jason Raize committed suicide during his lifetime. That poor man had a whole life ahead of him. For he had such great talent in that amazing musical.

No one can take away his music that bon jovi gave us over the decades. Even if he has lost his voice he still tries his best and people should realize that. We all change as we grow older . He is a legend and will always be. Bon jovi

One of my all-time favorite vocal performances. Jason is one in a LONG list of superstar talents that I attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy with. When you can top your studio recording night in and night out that is the definition of a Broadway star, and Jason was just that!

26 years on Broadway without him. 20 years that he left us too soon. Until this year as a fan i use to dream that all African backup singers sings "we sangoma ngi velelwe we baba ngivelelwe we baba ngivelewe" all the time and then he sings "i know. Yes i know. Today, February 3, 2024 marks 20 years since Jason's death. It's a shame he decided to take his own life too soon. I don't judge him, he had his reasons and we must respect that, I just hope you now are in a better place and at peace. Always remembered never forgotten. Rest in peace Jason Raize Rothenberg.

Smoking cigarettes finally caught up with him. He still gave us really great music and he never had to lip sync anything like most singers these days.
