Today, February 3, 2024 marks 20 years since Jason's death. It's a shame he decided to take his own life too soon. I don't judge him, he had his reasons and we must respect that, I just hope you now are in a better place and at peace. Always remembered never forgotten. Rest in peace Jason Raize Rothenberg.

One of my all-time favorite vocal performances. Jason is one in a LONG list of superstar talents that I attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy with. When you can top your studio recording night in and night out that is the definition of a Broadway star, and Jason was just that!

26 years on Broadway without him. 20 years that he left us too soon. Until this year as a fan i use to dream that all African backup singers sings "we sangoma ngi velelwe we baba ngivelelwe we baba ngivelewe" all the time and then he sings "i know. Yes i know. The sun will rise. Yes i know. I know. The cloud must clear. I know that the night must end. I know that the sun will rise. Til i hear your voice deep inside. I know that the night must end.
