I have just watched the video. Mike Amico stated that you should use C-AF with no Tracking when using Bird AI, I can't see how to set that on my EM1X, any pointers or is it an OM1 only option.

What a bad example, lot of wind makes macro IMPOSSIBLE, no flash? no diffuser? no stacking? He's an OM system EXPERT???

Keep in mind the metering (and histogram) is for the JPEG. The raw will have a couple stops of headroom. Its possible to tune the JPEG to be more flat so the histogram is closer to the raw.

With the back button focus and front button for pro capture I set the front button pro capture mode on a Custom dial C1. All other setting use back button focus

With OM-1 mark ii, and/or mark I, 150-400 lens, c-af, bird detection on, sh-2 @ 25fps, I have a static bird and I shoot a burst with back button focus continually pressed down (length of burst does not matter), distance to bird does not matter, but is more prevalent further away. When I look at the photos in light room and watch to see critical focus, from one frame the focus will move in and out slightly. So much so that I have achieved critical focus on the eye on about 1 in 8 frames. I have not been able to fix this. How can I make it so when it achieves critical focus, that it holds it for all frames. I can see that the bird has not moved (same position in each frame), but focus moves out of critical focus. I have notice that first frame usually has the critical focus.

For BIF with the OM-1 MkII: in Aperture prior, if I set, i.e., ISO 1600 and F4, is there a way to customize a button for fast changing the AUTO ISO Min. SS or change to a specific Shutter Speed in a fast way? Thanks!

When I have a flash mounted I’m able to set the shutter to 1/250 but when I change to Focus Bracketing the shutter changes to 1/50 and I cannot raise it back up. Why is that? "

Like so many other of these tutorials, the narrator goes so fast when displaying menus, Just a tiny fraction of a second where a screen blips into view and then it’s gone. Try slowing down, 10 rewinds trying to pause at the one frame is nigh on impossible.

If this Lens was sharp and didn’t produce soft images professional wildlife photographers would be queueing up to buy.

i get that the focus is on the OM-1, but it would be nice to see at least half that amount focused on the OM-5..why, OM-1 is to big & expensive to carry in a backpack into the hinterland..if OMSystems wanted to treat little brother like a red headed step child, then they should’ve have made it..

Excellent lens. Very compact, sharp with good contrast. Happy to use on smaller E-M10 body or bigger e-m1 style. Very nice on Panasonic G9 ( whisper that quietly on this channel ! ). It also has very good close-up capability - if you are into plants and such like it is excellent. Very happy with purchase.

Tengo presente que mi consulta no está directamente ligada a la fotografía computacional, pero como entiendo que puede ser una cuestión transversal y valiosa para algunos usuarios de las cámaras Olympus/OM System, ahí va: Desde que los Mac se han actualizado al OS Sonoma, mis cámaras EM1 mkII, mkIII y M1x, no las puedo utilizar como cámaras de conferencia, tal como hacía con Ventura y continúo pudiendo desarrollar con Windows 11. ¿Sabes si OM System tiene planificado actualizar la aplicación OM webcam beta para aportarles de nuevo esa funcionalidad perdida? Please reveal some of your settings inside the cave. I use the TG-6 still, and it is a wonderful camera. I was at some beautiful waterfalls, which I will share on OMSYSTEM's website and used the SCN settings (though auto, was still able to get some good results) and also the Aperture setting, to try and get some slower speeds of the waterfalls. If I had one suggestion, it would be add a waterfall setting in the SCN modes, just to give the option of a slower shutter speed. It takes some work to shoot waterfalls with this camera, but can be done. Can't wait for more cameras in this series to come out, but waiting for some differences between the TG-6 to be a little bit more extreme.

Hello. I have the TG-7. Yes, it's a good little camera. But I must say that the functions dedicated to macro (microscope, microscope control) are only "marketing" modes. All the results you get with these modes can be obtained in A mode, by choosing AFS. In fact, I've configured the C2 button as follows: Iso auto, A (-> AFS), Flash auto. I don't use the "microscope" modes, which do nothing for me, and worse, restrict my options, for example when using flash.

My OMD EM-1 MkIII is stuck on 'one moment' after selecting Storage....nothing happens after that. Workspace claims no camera connected.

Excellent review and beautiful images. The over/under images, and star trails are wonderful! I have the TG-5 and trying to decide if it's time to upgrade.
