I've always wondered what the significance of the song was to Nancy since well, you know the ending. Nancy often is in danger, so I can understand that part, but it's the rest. Why a childhood rhyme? Why ladybug? I see that the red and the fire related to Charlotte, but I still don't understand why that song.

I've never been in a haunted house, but after our family's dog died, my mom and had two separate ghostly occurrences; my mom and I heard the dog snoring in the hall where his bed used to be, and it only happened when she and I were in the house alone on two separate nights. We only told each other days after and we were surprised at how similar our experiences were.

Best mobile ND game was Message in a Haunted Mansion for GBA. I really enjoyed playing that scaled-down game on Christmas as a kid.

On the PowerISO download I am assuming it is the 32 bit version that you say should be downloaded. Is that correct?

It’ll depend on your computer. If you’ve got a 32-bit computer, then you’ll want to install that version. Otherwise, the 64-bit version will do just fine!

IF YOUR SETUP.EXE DOES NOTHING WHEN YOU CLICK ON IT, READ THIS. Right Click on the "32-bit installer" in the background tasks in the task manager and select "analyze Wait Chain." Then, just kill the process that is holding the installer up and it should launch immediately.

I’m not too sure! My guess is that it’s unlikely because the specific file that’s used for the Nancy Drew games I don’t think can be found in other games. I could be wrong and it would be worth checking, but that’s the best answer I can provide. Good luck!

I may have posted this before on a previous video by you: eleven years ago Digital River has something similar happen with orders for Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. They cancelled orders for the game. You can find a lot of info about the order cancellations and order problems on Reddit. It may have been a long time ago, but I have tried to avoid doing business with Digital River since then. I guess it sort of echoes what has happened with Mystery of the Seven Keys. I can't post links so I will put descriptions for two videos about it. StephsTooDef made a video about her copy of the Ni No Kuni being cancelled tilted Monthly Pick-Ups - January 2013 (Ni No Kuni RAGE!!!) Saguaro Boys posted a video called A Timeline of the Ni no Kuni Wizard's Edition Controversy. It discusses the issue of the cancellations in a little more detail. He did wind up receiving his copy of the game, and did an unboxing video. KZbin has so many videos, I was having trouble finding an these older videos.

Another amazing soundtrack to ANOTHER one of my top favorite games!!! 😍🥰❤ My most favorite track in Secret of the Scarlet Hand is "Exotic" because its melody is so upbeat with an optimistic vibe, so I just love hearing it play whenever I explore the Beech Hill Museum! 😁 I also adore the tracks that have to do with their spots whenever I explore them: "Monolith", "Temple", "Lab", and "Town". They're all just so calming and relaxing! 😄 And I just love the tracks titled "Discovery" in both TRT and FIN whenever I find items that become important later, so in this game, I love listening to "Discovery A" whenever I find a jade carving and the completed key. 😉

I LOVE The Final Scene, and the music has always been one of the reasons why I love it! 😁😄 Another great nostalgic soundtrack! 🥰❤ I love to listen to "Magic" when I uncover the magician's room, but also during Nancy's final letter to Bess. I love to listen to "Sleuth" as I explore the Royal Palladium, but I also love hearing it during the credits. "Thompson", "Auditorium", "Dressing", and "Lobby" are more terrific pieces of music that I love listening to as I wander and explore the theater. 😊 But I also love hearing "Discovery" when you collect the small gear from that Jazz mini game and get the prize after winning the Amazing Monty game, just like I love the track of the same name in TRT, which you hear when you find the journal and all three medallions. 😉👍🏻 And just like the tracks with the same name in MHM and TRT, I love the two "Danger" tracks here in FIN when you have to get past the electrified gate, and then at the end when the countdown to the demolition has begun and you have to save Maya and yourself before it's too late! 😰😵😵💫

Treasure in the Royal Tower was the very first Nancy Drew game I ever played, and it has since become one of my favorite games. 😁 And yes, one of the reasons I love it is because of the awesome soundtrack! ❤ My most favorite tracks are "Warm" and "Hallway" because I think they are perfect to listen to when you're relaxing in front of a warm fire with a hot drink and sweet snack in the wintertime, even though the latter is a bit more calming and peaceful than the former. In fact, I especially love to play TRT during the winter because of its own winter setting. 😉 "Enchanted" is another favorite track of mine because it fits well to Nancy exploring every place there is to explore in Wickford Castle. 👍🏻 "Somber", "Library", and "Garden" have somewhat melancholic melodies, but I still enjoy them because they are also very comforting pieces of music. 😊 And heck, I even enjoy listening to "Shaft" and "Tunnel" because their melodies sound forbidding, perfectly enhancing the mystery of exploring both places which are more or less forbidden territory at first, since they are sealed off and lead to places where guests are currently forbidden to visit...the library and the tower. 🤫

I’m actually curious if a major reason the Steam release was so much later than the HER store release was because of some deal made with Digital River requiring them to not sell it on Steam for an amount of time to avoid competition. That being said, man I missed hearing from you Huw. It’s been so long. 😭

🙄 This still doesn't solve their DR problem. I am curious to see if the shipping prices on physical copies change. Given how much DR was charging for shipping, they should have been paying the companies they owed. Ugh. But either way, this is not a solution for HeR...

Sending support to Her Interactive! Down with Digital River! I knows times be tight, and things have changed, but that sounds like straight up theft... I'll stick to Steam until things seem normal again. Thanks for sharing this info. I know this community cares so much about Her's wellbeing out of respect to the games all these years. KEY had just enough improvement to believe there's glimpse of what made these games great, and I believe game #35 could take good steps

UPDATE: Literally MINUTES after I uploaded this video, HeR Interactive switched the date they're completing the transition from November 18th to November 25th. This doesn't change any information in the video aside from the fact that the transition date has been pushed back by a week.

Thanks for highlighting the fact that all strategy guides are free now. Any idea how we can get the Ransom of the Seven Ships strategy guide now that it is discontinued? Same goes for the OG Secrets Can Kill and Stay Tuned for Danger. I wish Her Interactive would have kept those guides out for download. On another note, I'm annoyed that the guides for games 7-15 are downloading as ugly black and white pdfs with no cover art. The other guides are so bright and colorful, but 7-15 are very bland. At least I didn't pay for them. I wonder if they were like that originally or if something messed up on their end to make them black and white.

The Ransom of the Seven Ships strategy guide was officially discontinued back in 2020, but can still be purchased via this link to HeR's online store: store.digitalriver.com/store/herinter/en_US/pd/productID.235318900 Regarding the other strategy guides, I do have information for you. HeR Interactive never actually wrote an official strategy guide for the original Secrets Can Kill or Stay Tuned for Danger. Back in the early 2000s, a company called DreamCatcher Interactive wrote and published guides for those games, however HeR Interactive never had the rights to publish them or sell them. So there are no strategy guides for the first 2 games unless you can track down a physical copy of the DreamCatcher guides (which are VERY rare). As for the digital guides for games 6-15, they are in black and white because that's how HeR Interactive has always sold them. Every physical strategy guide (including the DreamCatcher guides) were all printed in black and white. They started selling digital guides in color with White Wolf. I'm not sure why they didn't all include covers, but it's most likely because HeR made them as a separate file that was sent to the printers for printing in color. In short, there is no error with how they're downloading, it's simply because HeR has never made any color version of guides 6-15 available for purchase. I hope that helps! I LOVE the soundtrack of Message in a Haunted Mansion! ❤ It's always been one of the major reasons for my love for this game, even though many of the tracks sound appropriately haunting!!! 😨😰😱 My favorite track is "Seance", and even though it's virtually the same melody as "Saloon", I like "Seance" a lot better because it has a more haunting, sinister, aura to its melody. "Attic" and "Dining" are like that with their melodies, too, and that's why I also like them. "Abby's Room" doesn't sound as dark as the others, but despite its lighter melody, it still sounds a bit sinister...and mysterious. 😉 And then "Parlor" and "Entry" are less haunting than the others, but I still find them somewhat haunting because they are more fast-paced with their melodies. Yeah, the soundtrack was always one of the reasons why I considered MHM to be one of the scariest games the series. Music is definitely one of those features that can enhance the scares of media like film, TV, and games. 👍🏻

Ah, yet another beautiful Nancy Drew game soundtrack that is giving me all these nostalgic feelings! ❤ My most favorite tracks in Stay Tuned for Danger are nearly all those with the word "Night" in them because they all have somewhat ominous, foreboding auras. Since things can often feel or appear much scarier and more sinister at night, these tracks definitely make Nancy's investigation feel more dangerous as she secretly does work in the studio at night. I love listening to "Mattie's House Night" upon returning from sneaking into the studio at night and having discovered more about the case, such as Owen Spayder and the tape from the editing room that consists of Dwayne sneaking around both in and out of his Owen Spayder disguise. For similar reasons, I also love listening to "Hall Light" when I sneak into the studio using the side entrance. And while I like hearing it while sneaking around in his office, I LOVE listening to "Dwayne Night" during the credits! 😁 My last favorite track in STFD is "End". I've always been curious why it has this name instead of "Danger" because it plays during the most dangerous moments in the game; not just the tail end of the game, but also when the bomb is in Rick's dressing room. 🤔

The nostalgic feels I get listening to the soundtrack of Secrets Can Kill, the very first Nancy Drew game released in 1998! 😵 I can't believe it has been 26 years since it came out! 😵💫 Thanks to your tutorial, Huw, just two years ago, I was able to play SCK again for the first time in over a decade since it was discontinued, and then I made my walkthrough of it shortly afterwards. I'll always be grateful to you and your video for making it happen, and now I'll always be able to keep everything about the game, including the soundtrack, fresh in my mind. 😉 From the opening music of "Excite" to the "Credits Rap", the music of SCK is unforgettable! 😁😄👍🏻

every time i hear it i love all over again how Society is like a train gaining steam. starts slow and quiet and then the more the song goes on the louder and faster it starts to get. but really evenly done. can HEAR the steam engine churning and steadily amping up. such a well done song!!
