I'm a PC hardware guy. I have a question: Are you sure you installed the radiators and fans correctly on all processors??? The wind direction should be the same for everyone. From front to back!!!

Still have and use a Core2 Quad Processor Q6600, it has been used a lot , including some years 24/7 use has a server. It survived at least 3 builds and outlasted 2 motherboards, it came in a store built computer in 2007 or 2008 with DDR2 memory ( the last motherboard uses DDR3 ) Nowadays it still kicks ass on my mom's office computer, and completely ok for regular use and light gaming.

With multi CPU high core count CPUs (more when you go over 64 logical cores) you get better work allocation and therefore performance if you disable hyperthreading and thus half your logical core count. Should give it a try under WIndows 10 Pro for Workstations.

I recently purchased a Cooler Master Cosmos 2 case on FB marketplace for a reasonable price. This case can support up to 13 HDD this includes two hot swap bays. I have found this has provide a solution to a problem I had with portable storage. I have a lot of video files that have taken up lots of space on one of my drives, storing on the cloud would be expensive as is a NAS solutionand storing on DVD or Blueray is an option but I would need a lot of disks for the amount of data. A better solution is to buy a HDD of the appropiate file size insert in the hot swap bay and copy or move the files to the hot swap HDD. It's like using a HDD as a massive floppy. My motherboard supports up to 8 SATA devices and two M.2 slots, I've noticed that a lot of recent boards have increased the m.2 capacity and decreased the SATA ports.

I'm used to "loud" servers. I run a pedestrian HP DL380 Gen9, which is not as exotic as what you were demonstrating in the video. It would be interesting to compare noise levels between yours and mine. Would the gaming have had better performance if you had used a better GPU, such as a RTX 2080 or 2080 Super? I put an RTX 4060 in my server mentioned above. Would that server run Windows Server 2022 Standard? How would it have done running FreeBSD 14.x with Bind 15 DNS and Sendmail running?

Great video! I didn't know about the Intel-ARM hardware in this machine. I got so much use out of my Universal that it seems just a few years since it was my daily driver. Great device but, damn I lost so many styluses.

wow that's quite impressive! where did you get this beast? how much did it cost? will you keep it? it consumes so much power that you don't need the heating system in the room you're using it, during cold seasons. At least you heat yourself up while you have fun!

7:54 Just did a comparison and got a multicore score of 22912 in Cinebench R23 max 105 W TDP with a Ryzen 9 5950X. 16 core. Interesting the level of power in your old beast there now can be wedged into modern micro-ATX, for example.

I think you were wrong in terms of the vram being only 1gb. As far as I know, in crossfire the vram does actually add up, in contrast to sli.

the ddr3 in my testing is definitely helpful, in synthetics my pentium 4 scored slightly higher in Cinebench r15, but strangely didn’t change my pentium d result? My guess is the Hyperthreading is the difference

i don't think the rate of improvements have slowed, i personally feel the performance is at a point the only way to test is through heavy benchmarks. i have a 2700k i still use and can play games on with an rx-590 red devil. it's decent, can't run modern warzone but can run battlefield at 40fps. to me this says soon we will be at a point where the cheapest chip is all a consumer will truly need (i.e 5600x3D or 7600x3D, even a 9800x3D over a 9950x3D, having all that extra multithreading being useless to the average consumer).

its a pretty ass score for a 64 core, there was a reason opterons weren't popular. my 7980xe that doesnt have multicore enhancement on and doesnt boost right got 3200. its 7th gen but even back then i bet xeons whoped this things ass

opteron single core and quad core processors are inferior to intel core i7 980X because intel core i7 980X gives you the ability to turn intel quick path interconnect on and off

I got a few points of constructive critique here on your video. #1 Please stop editing in these *_extremely_*_ annoying supercuts (focussing in synchronized with your points of emphasize, enlarging the picture), which focus on arguably important points_ - It is not only childish and lowbrow, it's also painstakingly lame and Instagram-esque. It really is _disrupting the viewer's concentration majorly* and makes one want to just move on, no matter the content._ It's a silly cry for attention and we all dislike it. #2 If you add in crucial parts like verbatim texts from interviews, please bear in mind your viewer's ability to actually READ them - _These are overshadowed/overlapped with the players' infamous duration- & scrollbar at the bottom of KZbin's video-player itself!_ Plain impossible to read them, when they scroll into view from the bottom and are mercilessly cut off the moment, these are fully in the picture. Please leave your viewer a moment to read them and only then move onto another scenery. #3 In general slow down the pace of your imagery and let the scenery make its impression onto the viewer, before changing the scenery/picture. Leave text longer in the picture to be read by the viewer and mind the video-control's overlay overlapping with your actual content (making it impossible to read/watch, when paused) - You can easily leave the content on the screen and already start speaking/explaining again from the off, while the discussed content (websites/screenshots/tables/interview-texts) are still left to be read/consumed. I sincerely hope that you don't mind my direct approach and take it as a constructive/positive input for your contents betterment. Your information presented are just way too valuable to be tarnished with the silly representation, which makes it extremely difficult to annoying to even extract major bits of information off your videos. Still great video from the respective informative value! Keep it on, please.❤
