Can anyone please share the link to the forum post that Shaykh mentions which started off this discussion?

*Why do Sunni fold hands when praying?* It was started by *Omar Ibn al-Khattab* when he saw the Zoroastrian prisoners of war who were brought from Persia to Madina folding their arms as a sign of respect. He ordered people to do that during Salah. (Innovation to Salah?)

As Salam 'alaikum! Can you say what Hanafi scholars who were the Mujtahids in the Madhab added the Durood in the first Tashahhud and the Thana supplication in the beginning of the third rakat of Sunnah ghair muakkadah like four rakats before the Asr and the Isha prayers? I would like to hear their names!

Should we Hanafis recite according to Ibn Aamir since they were the reciters of Kufa?

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته What’s the reference for the quote of A’mash regarding the Qiraa’ah of Ibn Mas’ūd being an ongoing influence?

As with many of Ibn ʿAbd al-Barr’s consensus claims, they are often inaccurate and disputed. There was definitely scholarly disagreement about this issue, but you have to do the research.
@user45s Жыл бұрын
@@abdelbaasit1 that’s a lie the only dispute is about the ones with sahih chains but didn’t meet tawatur and other conditions such as arabic language and uthmanic rasm not the ones with weak/fabricated chains

Why is a forged qira'ah been presented/recited by an Islamic scholarly institute? Scholars have forbidden such recitation inside and outside Salah
@elmajraz6019 Жыл бұрын
Forbidden in prayers only, right? *Edit:* Where does it say forbidden any Shadh (non-Mutawatir) recitation outside Salah? Inside, yes, as they're not proven as Quran. But outside, you can just read it like reading newspaper. It's permissible, not forbidden. Scholars say, if they're not Quran, they are close to Hadith, just like Hadith Qudsi; some are Sahih, some are Hasan, some are Dhaif, and some are Mawdhu’ as well.
@ahmediqbal9869 Жыл бұрын
Its to make you aware of what it is. They also clearly say to to not recite in this.

You quietly edited your comment? Lol. Read my edited reply.

The claim that it’s 💯 “forged” is itself contentious. That’s why 🙂
@elmajraz6019 Жыл бұрын
@@abdelbaasit1 because the Sanad is Dhaif, some say Mawdhu'. When it comes to Hadith, we can use Dhaif Hadith to support Sahih/Hasan Hadith. But when it comes to the Quran, or Theology, or Rulings, we must use Sahih/Hasan Hadith only. And Quranic recitation must be Mutawatir to be recited in prayers (like the 10 Qiraats). If the Qiraat is Shadh (not Mutawatir), you cannot recite it in prayers. You can use it for Tafseer or Rulings (just as back up, not as main evidence).

37:30 i find it hard to believe you came to such a conclusion on interest. It would have set the ummah back even further. It's exactly that kind of attitude that brought to ummah under the yolk of the western powers. If anything, i would say ummah is in need of istihsaan of the early hanafis now more than ever. Overall, excellent overview which you went into even more detail. Thank so informative

Mashallah great lecture, and great research. I noticed that 'MISC' was listed as a reason as well, for quite a number of instances of Istihsan. Were these just 'single instances' that you grouped into one category? or do you have any idea of what they were? I think I can see some validity to the now-defunct perspective that 'there should be some subjectivity of the scholars' - albeit not to the extent of 'a scholar can make a ruling without any daleel'.
