thank you for the real life tests, this helps a lot.

Loved the video, very informative but wouldn't be dropping the torque wrench on the floor so casually as you could upset its calibration and mess the torque reading.

So there are two main reasons why you shouldn’t use chrome sockets with an impact. 1. Chrome sockets aren’t meant to take blows from an impact like the softer metal of an impact socket. As such, they are likely to crack or even shatter under a strong enough impact. 2. Since the metal on the chrome sockets is pretty hard, it will also damage the anvil.

Does Rigid make a higher torque model? All this does is test the power levels of the torque. As far as tool reliability, BOTH of them are good. Milwaukee is really good, but to my surprise, Rigid is just as good... As a matter of fact, Rigid beats DeWalt imo for reliability that is. DeWalt is always burning up.

Greetings, and I enjoyed this review. I came across this wanting to see some reviews on this multimeter, I’m looking at on Amazon. I’m not a mechanic, I’m a field wildlife biologist, and would primarily be using my meter to carry with me into the field to check my trail camera batteries. Because of this, I’m looking at the version of this multimeter that has the battery check function for 1.5, 9 and 12v batteries. It’s my understanding that the 1.5 & 9v function test the batteries under a load, giving truer results. I believe the 12v function simply measures voltage, not under a load? I do sometimes run a 12v battery system to power trail cameras at long-term locations, and some cameras have a 12v solar panel system. Not sure if I would need to rig up a resistor to put a load on the 12v batteries? Also I’d use the continuity function to look for wire/cable breaks and test connections on solar panels and 12v battery setups. This multimeter is nice and compact, and would be much easier to carry into the field. My only concern is build quality and reliability. Is this meter well built, and has it proven reliable? Also, when checking a vehicle battery, would I need to turn on the vehicle’s lights to see how its status is? Thank you, and blessings to you and yours. Aho! 😉

@@georgesilverhawkstrailcame2297 hello thank u for watching. I am not a multimeter expert. It still is working 🙂. The only issuie with this meter is there seems to be a continuity delay if u google "muliti meter continuity delay" you might find topics. It doesnt beep immediatly it has a delay of what seems 1/2 second and is a bit slow and annoying 😊
@georgesilverhawkstrailcame229710 күн бұрын
@@singlecams The slow continuity would likely be a negative for my use, especially while holding the leads on a cable and jiggling the wire trying to determine if there could be a break of loss connection. I really appreciate that honest information. For work like that, instantaneous is needed. The break in the circuit could be less than a second. The AstroAI M4K0R Multimeter, is slightly bigger than then this meter, but is still relatively small… and it’s supposed to be very fast. So, I’ll likely get the M4KOR. Thank you again. Also I’ve subscribed to your channel. Perhaps I can learn to fix things on my truck… 😜 All my best… 😉
@singlecams9 күн бұрын
@@georgesilverhawkstrailcame2297 hello I agree 😊 it is awful...I really do not understand it. It should be instant. If you do get the other report back if it is instant please 😊 thank you. I will see if I can make a video tommrow for you showing the delay
@georgesilverhawkstrailcame22979 күн бұрын
@@singlecams That would be absolutely awesome! I ordered two multimeters… got the AstroAi M4KOR, as well as an IDEAL Electrical 61-327, both have the battery testing feature. The AstroAi M4KOR will stay in my backpack to use in the field, and the IDEAL 61-327, will stay on my desk. It’s not an auto-ranging meter, fully manual which I’m used to, and it’s I’m told, a none-True RMS meter, which mean nothing to me for what I needed it for… but it’s a very well made and accurate professional machine, that is only a few bucks $$$ more than the AstroAi. It has the battery testing features, and its continuity is lighting fast. Both Multimeters will be here October 10th, and I will most definitely tell you how it looks, feels and performs… and how fast the continuity is. Blessings…

hmm. with the pin detent style - i didn't know you can opt to Not align the pin. That could come in handy but would it wear out your chuck faster over time? Also, can you maybe stick a nail in the socket hole and depress the pin if you want - to aid in removing? Thanks, you explained it all well

You need to put more pressure pressing in on the impact by holding it kinda lose like that on the last bolt you are letting energy escape which could be applied to the fastener bolt. Try holding the trigger with one hand and placing your other hand on the back of the impact gun and pushing it into the bolt head so it dosnt jump around as much it will be more efficient.

Lol what was the trouble you had? You mean to say a break bar wouldn’t remove that? Ingersol Rand impact guns are a starter tool, a professional would never use one. 600ft/lb of torque with 650 hits per minute. That’s almost excatly what a snap on 3/8s impact puts out, and the 1/2 inch does 1200ft/lb with 1600 hits. The Mac impact does even more, but I dislike the square shape of it for tighter spaces, so imo snap on is the way to go. Get one and try it, you will wonder what you waited for and never go back to that ingersol. It’s even quieter. 🤷♂️

Here in far east of russia that impact wrench cost about 550$ only impact. For an ordinary car mechanic this is slightly less than a month’s salary. I have a 891 dewalt, but it seems like I will never be able to afford the 961.
