Stopped when the reset information was blocked - I have a Bally Money Honey just had 3 bars drop in when I was trying to sort out the top Neon Light so was very annoyed when they dropped in. Only used for home entertainment wish I hadn't ventured here as owning a machine and not knowing all of the secrets is too frustrating

Thanks you for demonstrating this. There's plenty of videos displaying these machines, but almost none of them explain them in detail.

I remember playing these when I was a kid (maybe not exactly this model), and haven't played slots or gambled ever since (better learn vital lessons in life early on). There are many Pros to these old machines: the physicality of the level, the coins, the chrome - the whole experience feels "real". Also, the simple fruit icons with no gap spaces between them and the 1-line makes a lot more sense than the current slots (even the simplified low-volatility ones like Double Diamonds), where you have weirdest (logically arbitrary) win combos. The Cons of these Bally machines was that they were too "greedy" - chances of winning anything half-way significant were very remote. I wouldn't be surprised if they were as low as 75% payback. An odd cherry here and there might top you up and keep you going, but overall a game of 50 spins wouldn't last very long. Bally was a good teacher: taught me that gambling doesn't really pay back. I'm thinking of developing an app for iPhone and Android that would emulate these old vintage machines with classic fruits and 5c play (or free), but make it 97-99% payback. If you like the idea, please reply - I will need early testers.

This video crossed my mind as I was signing up for MFF's dance comp! This is why I do dance comps today. I remember coming across this video in 2008 it and immediately saying to myself "I want to be just like him". This video will always mean SO SO SO much to me. I would make the awkward 12 year old kid, who only ever saw this dream as a fantasy very much proud.

I know my way around em pinballs, but these things make maintenance seem like child's play. Plus, I would imagine they would have to be very confident about reliability, not only because there's a LOT more to go wrong, but also there's more at stake if it fails to pay out the correct amount.

I posed Spnoslo67's comment to Dr. Pinball. His answer is below: " The lamp or camera angle does not show the "IN" from the word "INSERT". Second: the guy answered his own question. There is an internal switch that DOES reset the payout timer. And a key switch on the side of the machine. There WERE different iterations of this machine. "And the attendant need to reset........." So there is no way the casinos could EVER reset a machine??? I don't think that would benefit them."

He don’t know what he is talking about, there are no way to reset the machine except when you hit the jackpot and the attendant need to reset or do a payout higher than the machine pay out!

I have a Bally dual progressive jack-pot machine. When the progressive jackpot is hit all you have to do to reset it is open the front and moved the reels down as far as they will go and release them.

Hard to believe this was 6 years ago, now. I really do miss the guys and Anthrocon. I had separated from Anthrocon a few years later due to personal reasons, but Anthrocon will always be a home for me.
