Its not just the Kia garage that you mention its all of them. The 7 year guarantee is a massive con nowadays and to add insult to injury they dont have an appointment for nearly 4 weeks. ITS THE LAST KIA I WILL BUY. Anyway I am half way through the job and just wondered if you can actually take the nozzle jet apart? What actually blocks it or stops it working?

Debris in the water you use to fill the reservoir.When you fill up the washer fluid use a clean pot and clean water. You cannot take the nozzle apart.

Give them a tap with a small hammer, on the side, you could try a tiny squirt of wd40. Constant pressure wont work they need a yank. All wipers are the same.

Thanks for the video. I fitted mine and it was too high and the water fired right over the back of the car. I just loosened off the screws to the washer fitting, moved the angle and tightened whilst holding in position and it seemed to have done the trick.

No idea why his Kia dealer said it wasn't covered by the warranty, I got my front and rear jets replaced under warranty just before my 2015 Ceed's warranty expired (I took it for its 7-year service a month early to ensure it was still covered). I was told the "pipes had collapsed". Also had to fit a new pipe coupling at the tailgate.

Toyota maintain an oil change is not required. From the mechanics I have talked to they recommend about 60,000 miles, so around 90,000km.

@@Simple_Slmon CVT in hybrid is plain simple planetary gears with a giant magnet, no torque converter. What you drain is the whole fluid about 3-3.5 L. The exact number is supposed to be 3.3 L . CVT for Hybrid used Toyota WS not Toyota CVT fluid, it is all gears, no belt like common CVT.

@@valentiniorga9785 3.3L is the exact amount from factory specs. We can fit about 3.4 before it drip out from the filler hole on flat jack stand. HOwever, I only get 3L from the car when draining it.

@Simple_Slmon
@Simple_Slmon 4 жыл бұрын
As far as I know (and i could be wrong) the filter is in the fuel tank, you remove the pump and it is attached to that, it is rare that the filters need replacing.
@rondhole
@rondhole 3 жыл бұрын
Toyota never need fuel filter replacement in Developed country with good fuel pumps. It is one unit inside the fuel pump, very expensive repair if it is clogged but only 1 out of a billion will clogged. The worst things are caused by running out of fuel and stupid people try to start it and burn the fuel pump in seconds.

Simon I have a question. I want to buy a new Toyota Corolla touring sport hybrid 1.8 or 2.0. Will this have the same procedure for changing the cvt oil and how many liters of oil will that be. I live in the Netherlands but I cannot find it. Can you help me with it?

Toyota Hybrid CVT use Toyota WS not Toyota CVT fluid. It is all gears, no belt, very solid and bullet proof. It cost about 40 euros from dealership or amazon, genuine Toyota WS. YOu also can buy Ravenol WS or AISIN ATF6+. Aisin is the company who makes the transmission like ZF

60-90k miles for any Toyota. Hybrid is the easiest, just drain and refill. Others need some kind of procedure to really adjust the level

From the Dealer service manual, the exact volume is 3.3L. Drain and refill replace the whole old fluid with new one since Hybrid transmission is purely gears, no torque converter. I only get 3L when draining it but I put it back 3.3L exactly although nothing spill. I believe it will be about 3.5L when the fluid starts dripping out from the filler hole if your car is leveled.

@@rondholedoesn’t Toyota say that eCVT oil needs no replacement?
@rondhole
@rondhole 10 ай бұрын
@@670ramy it needs some regular inspection, about every 100k miles/6 years. But it is better just replace it because it cost less than $40 for new oil anyway. There is no oil can last forever although the e-CVT is very mild to ATF WS oil compared to regular torque converter transmission. It is up to you but do it every 100k miles is more than enough because it works like differential oil, no torque converter. Especially in Yaris or Prius C, the ATF is also the cooler, and the heat breakdown will be higher than Prius, Camry, etc. with water cooling.
