Russia will not use any nuclear weapons - not only because of the international backlash, but also because it makes no strategic sense on the battlefield. What would be a likely target? Kyiv? A major city closer to the front line like Kharkiv? A frontline city like Pokrovsk? A key logistics hub that could be neutralised through conventional weapons? It makes absolutely no political, economic, or military sense. The only purpose of Putin’s nuclear sabre-rattling is an attempt to stop western nations from “escalating” the conflict by supplying Ukraine with long-range weaponry to strike Russian targets far behind the front line. It’s a standard play from Putin - pretend that Russia is willing to dramatically escalate the conflict with the use of nuclear weapons if the West provides more assistance to Ukraine. And it’s ridiculous that the West still largely falls for it. Putin values his life. He knows using nuclear weapons first would mean the end of his state and his life.

Is this true, or is it fake news? This seems like the shit you read about that took place in Nazi Germany, or during the Terror in France. America is far from perfect, but this is a value that we DO NOT subscribe to. Your neighbor? Your DOCTER??!! For us to snitch, it literally has to be true, hard, irrefutable that this mf is about to kill someone lol.

The calendar isn't necessarily about the President as an individual, but rather as the symbol of central authority in the Russian Federation. This is the figure everyone identifies with the state they are proud to live in - the largest multi-ethnic country in the world.

It has been going on since the invasion failed so 2022. The state is scared of dissent and it does not matter that the useful idiots inform on the innocent just that the ones charged are shown behind bars. You have to be very low down on the evolutionary scale to send an innocent person to prison over an argument about land. By interviewing them two women you gave them that extra bit of power they desired by asking them what they think should happen. I do hope they are really happy with their bit of land.

Dear BBC you are too late. These funny videos are not going to change the situation on the eastern front. I know these bots in the comment section are easily manipulated but they still not gonna go fight in Ukraine. Cause there is a big difference between talking about your beliefs on the internet(the west) and willing to die for them in a war(the russians)

So they lost the war with Finland and got saddled with Karelia? In that case they were well rid of the economic basket cases of Eastern Europe. NATO lost Afghanistan worse. Last time I heard, North Korea was still standing and it has become an nuclear ICBM power. Manchuria is part of the allied People's Republic of China. It's not lost, you're just using a Ukrainian map.

So put that into one sentence: Putin and Russia are so great. That reminds me of a joke we had in Poland when I was young (still during Soviet occupation which ended like 1989): In Soviet Union school teacher is preaching little children on how great Soviet Union is: that all the citizens are happy, they have jobs, appartments to live in, food, live peacefully, children are also happy, have a lot of sweets etc. All the listening children are clapping and smiling, only one little Sasha is still crying. Finally teacher gives up, stops the lecture and asks: - Why are you crying Sasha?? - Because I would like so much to live in Soviet Union!
