Vendrick has way better "loyal king , and evil queen" lore than godfrey imo :3

My understanding was that the dragons aren't really alive. You dont see them move innthe cinematic until after the flame appears. I think they were in some in between state

I would say "Who'd waste 8 hours listening to dark souls lore when they would know nothing" then I'd tell myself "Us Remember"

2:02:32 idk why this makes me emotional… maybe it’s the way the character reaches out, or the way sif’s gaze softens. Such a wonderful thing how emotions can be purveyed by a game with no words even being exchanged.

Ty for creating this! I’m sure it took a lot of work, and signifies a great passion for the story and games which shows in your presentation and detail. Nobody just makes an 8 hour video for something they don’t care about.

Given the state we find Princess Dusk in after defeating Manus, we all know whats implied to have happened, she's shivering and crying. Its safe to assume Nashandra and her sisters were birthed from Oolacile

Boy! That part at 1:32:51 was awesome! The chosen monoloques and visuals walk in tandem, well complimented by the music and well timed sound effects. If I hadn't completed it already and would see this one on steam to introduce the game to me, I would instandly buy it. That's a perfectly crafted teaser to me. Well done.

Gwyns Knights were not present when he found the Lord soul.... the opening cinematic is s synopsis, not a literal depiction of the events. Nuance seems to be lost on the internet in 2024.
@rigorm1365 күн бұрын
How do you know they weren’t present? It clearly shows they were.
@NWAP13375 күн бұрын
@rigorm136 Again, it's a synopsis. It's a representation of events compressed for time. So, by that logic, Nito was already undead, the witches had already created their own fire, and the pygmy already gave birth to humanity? Gwyn wasn't in power. There was no civilization before the flame. It was the flame that gave Gwyn lordship. Why do people take everything so literally? They had 2 seconds to represent Gwyn on screen and depicted him as he was remembered instead of how he began. What is shown is not him acquiring the flame. This isn't rocket science, it's storytelling 101. How come we never see Jesus depicted as a child or a teenager?

There was a time in earth's history when trees were immortal. As nothing had evolved to break them down. Even fallen trees didn't rot. So for millions of years trees knew no true death. At the same time bacteria died of starvation in numbers so vast that no word or phrase would properly convey the loss of life simple and small though it was. Then one day 1 single bacteria just happened to be born with just the right mutations in just the right place. In that moment trees everywhere on earth unknowingly lost there immortality. It matters not how grand an entity is. It only matters that everyone try just a little. Because it may not be me or you or our kids or grand kids but one day someone will be born in just the right place in just the right time in just the right way and with there birth they start the count down on a clock everyone had assumed would never move. Nothing is immortal forever if you see something everyone says can never be changed something everyone says is immortal try once or twice because maybe it is you or maybe your failure will inspire one one to end its immortality. Remember trees were immortal and now they rot in death to serve as nutrients for new life and if one bacteria can change the landscape of a planet because it got lucky and won one fight one time then us humans can achieve anything Nothing is immortal you just haven't found a way to make it fuel your growth yet.
